Wow, I bought this for my husband and all I can say is wow this thing is great. I am thinking of buying a second one to keep upstairs so I don't have to keep moving the one I have upstairs than downstairs.

We each bought one so we could more easily read from our audible and kindle accounts. They're cute and more importantly, very functional. I can just tell mine to add something to my calendar and my husband sees it too since we share most events in the calendar. The message and call function is nice too so you don't have to yell at someone across the house. Also, you can plug it in to a battery pack and take it on the patio for books or music and let your phone do other things. WE also like the alarm feature and using it as a radio is very nice too as well as getting it to tell you all kinds of information and being able to tell iyt to order something from amazon's almost too easy, smile. WE really like ours and would recommend them.

I bought the echo mainly to use as an alarm clock in the bedroom. What I found is I am using it for far more than that. I enjoy the music and the many fun skills that I am discovering. This was a very good buy.

Got two of these when they were on sale and even more on sale when you bought two. These are good but I prefer the normal Echo for music. Being larger and having a better audio setup, the Echo works as a standalone speaker much better. This has been good for my daughter's room as she plays but isn't something I would use for myself on a regular basis. That said, I like how easy it pairs with devices. We put one in the living room and it works with the soundbar perfectly. The microphones pick up voices well. The amount of accessories for this is incredible. The ability to limit use using FreeTime is great. Don't buy the kids edition if you already have FreeTime from a kids Fire tablet!

great stuff, must be and would recommend to friends

I got my first Echo right after they were released. I am up to five as of today. When they first came out, they were limited, but as time passed Amazon developed it a lot. The Echo spurred a whole home automation conversion for me due to its voice control capabilities We almost never have to flip a switch or use a remote anymore. All we have to do is just ask Alexa and she takes care of it. It also does a good job of streaming Prime music and tracking Amazon orders. Over the past couple of years the Echo has received a lot of updates to be able to answer general questions about people,places,and things. You can ask her almost anything and she can give you a relevant response. They also make great gifts. I've given three away so far.

If you have never used "Alexa" before you are in for a treat. If you have...this will make a great additional unit. Decent sound for the size, but the mics are great at picking up your voice

Had no problems linking this Echo to Alexa. Has been working fine. Speakers seem to be clear. I have used it as an alarm clock, and have listened to music. I plan on pairing it with some smart plugs soon.

Very versatile, I connect it to a bluetooth speaker

This product is great for a college student like myself that is able to search the web, listen to music, and call friends all without being in front of my phone. I highly recommend this device to everyone.

The Dot is a great device for home automation. Can control harmony based AV, hue lights and Casetta switches.

Great for starting my coffee in the morning, turning on lights and answering non stop questions for the kids.

I bought this for my 93 year old mother in law. so she could easily play the music she likes. My wife set it up and MIL now gets to listen to her favorite music by simply asking for it. The sound quality isn't the greatest but the ease of use for someone who is normally technology averse is great.

The Echo Dot makes answering simple questions and performing everyday tasks super easy. Setting timers, reminders, and checking weather has never been easier. I am going to buy a second in for the bedroom.

we put these all over our house...use them all the time. Fun when you're watching TV and think of a question like "how tall is Rock Hudson"...you can just ask Alexa and she tells you. No need to google it
