Love my echo dot. I use it as my alarm clock every morning and love that I can listen to any genre of music at any time. Also whenever I need some information on something I can ask echo.

This was to add a 2nd unit on another floor, mostly to expand home automation control - lights, alarms, etc. Of course, also getting used for weather, spelling, etc. Easy to set up and works as expected.

Already reviewed the white version to this, and since they're both the same I love them both.... Both very easy to use and control, just would recommend getting a bluetooth speaker if you plan on listening to music.

Great starter to smart home technology. The Alexa voice recognition does not work. Anybody can control it.

Got this for free with a Ring purchase. It was fun to use at first but gets less use now. I like being able to connect to the kids in their rooms or send out messages to the all at once. When they ignore phone calls you can drop in to see what is going on while you are gone.

Our family has fun with the Echo Dot. It also has been great for my kids. My daughter asks Alexa to wake her up at a certain time in the AM. My daughter wakes up better to Alexa than her own alarm clock.

The Echo dot is a fun and functional "gadget"! In addition to the functions of getting weather, news and your calendar events, you can play games, make shopping lists and listen to music. All with just your voice!

Simple to set up with the Alexa app and it just works. I'm using it for simple things like shopping lists, lights, and alarm clock. I know it does more but for a cheap price it's doing what I need it to do. The sound isn't stereo quality but hey - that's not what it's geared to be.

Good if you know how to download the Alexa apps and understand what each one is for so you don’t get the wrong ones that tie up your phone. The glarity that she understands with is great. I almost never repeat myself. Just gets the apps you need. Check reviews for the app, it helps

The Echo Dot is tiny but all so mighty. Smart home automation with Alexa is much more easier to set up than its competitors. Just link your smart device then download the Alexa skill and your good to go.

I was researching a replacement clock radio for my dead alarm clock. This fits the bill perfectly. Plays anything from my IHeartRadio library. I plan on buying one for each of my children before school starts.

Ok, so Alexa can't answer everything but so far I've asked the same questions to Siri and Alexa and get better answers from Alexa. Looking forward to growing my home automation system now. Volume is pretty lacking but that's to be expected. Great if you don't need to be loud or you plan to use external speakers.

This is a great product. We are learning new things everyday that helps us to complete task and reminds us. Not to mention it is so smart! We are going to purchase additional one for other rooms in the house.

For a small product, the sounds on this is loud enough for me. This is a fraction of the size compare to the echo I bought some smart plugs to go with this, and love that I can ask Alexa to turn things on/off.

Have one for LR/DR area and MB. Use them several time a day for turning lamps on/off. Before I leave I tell Alexa to turn kitchen and BDR light(s) on of off and LOVE that! No more walking in the dark to turn on a light. Love being able to ask Alexa what time it is when I wake up, as I do often, in the early morn hrs. Now I don't have to even open my eys to know the time, I listen, then decide if I should get up or can a stay in bed a while longer. Telling Alexa when to have the alarm go off is so much easier then fumbleing w/dials and spining numbers. I paired the BDR unit to a small speaker, very accomadating. I, also, pair it w/my TV sound bar and listen to music from it's speaker via Alexa. These are just so handy:)

i use this every day for the weather..i do wish there was a better choice of names though..i renamed it "echo" which was the only other option...would like to get the larger one soon, but for now this is great!

Very good digital assistant. Alexa is always helping my family and I with everyday activities and actions.

Set up is very straight forward and easy. The Echo Dot works with lots of smart home products on the market. I found the device very useful in my daily activities, a good companion no doubt.

The Echo Dot is a truly amazing product. How can Amazon make such a great product that retails for less than $50 Very easy to use and recognizes all of my song requests. Loved it so much that I bought three more,

I am a big fan so far of the Dot and Alexa. Combined with a Prime account, the Dot is perfect for listening to music, daily news updates, and weather, among other things. Decent speaker and nice slim design.
