I love my Echo Dot. I can listen to music, get news updates, even control my entertainment system through my Harmony hub. I can also leave messages for friends and family who have Echo too. Excellent device.

This was purchased as a gift. Based on my prior experience with my other Dot, I know the person receiving this will absolutely love it. Easy to learn commands makes this device very useful!

I already have an Amazon Echo in my living room but I thought my bedroom would benefit from the Echo Dot. Both devices work better than I expected. The only difference is that the dot has a less dynamic speaker so I connected my Bose B/T speaker to it. I now use the dot as my primary alarm and music streamer.

Still learning how this works in conjunction with the Echo, but as a speaker it works great and you can use it to search the web and read to you, provided you have Amazon books account and play music from Amazon music, again provided you have an Amazon account and have created another playlist.

I am very impressed by this little device not only is it reasonable priced but the technology inside it outstanding. Please consider purchasing Alexa before any other Voice assistant, you will not be disappointed.

Ordered online & received very fast from local store. Echo Dot is really cool; have some smart light switches & can use Alexa to turn on the lights with a voice command. Easy set up & very easy to use.

Short version: this is a great option to test the waters of smart assistants in the home without breaking the budget. I read countless reviews before buying the Echo Dot and had my own preconceptions about it. I figured it'd be a fun gadget to link with my Sensi connected thermostat and control my music. It does everything as advertised with a relatively simple setup. What I didn't expect was that my girlfriend would take to using it for kitchen timers, audiobooks, buy me a smart light, and end up using it more than I do. Audio quality sounds ok, but it pairs with my Bluetooth home theater system for serious listening. If you don't have a Bluetooth sound system, you might want to consider the full sized Echo that sounds MUCH better.

Love this. Makes it easy to turn on lights and play your favorite music. Sometime you have to say it two to three times before it recognizes you.

I first saw the Amazon Echo Dot at a relative's house, and loved the whole notion of a personal assistant. Alexa is friendly, knowledgeable, and there when I need information from her. All at a great price point!

bought this for my wife and was so impressed I threw away my google home and picked up one for me, recommend this to anyone who seeks out the lazy, its got little games and other stuff to keep you busy

Can't go wrong for the price of the echo dot. Not the sound quality of the Echo but its not bad. I bought a patch cord and connected my dot to my bose wave radio for improved sound and that works well.

Our son liked our, he said he could use it in his classroom so we got this one him for Christmas. Hohoho!

I use Alexa everyday for news,weather and music. She is also my go to for calculations, spelling ( for those brain dead moments) and encyclopedia information. I have one in every room. Except the throne room.

The echo dot does exactly what it's supposed to, and it's the cheapest and best virtual assistant on the market. Better than the Google Home or Full size Echo because you can use your own speakers with it.

Got it on sale for 40 bucks, great price. Giving them as gifts to my daughters. Have not gave them to them yet but I did play with it some before wrapping it. Very good sound and seems to work as well as my echo

Set up is easy. Download smart phone apps and follow instruction step by step. My favorite with Echo dot feature is "flash briefing". I can catch up all the crazy things happening in the world at breakfast!

It’s a great speaker it does a lot of things that Amazon echo is one of the cool little gadgets at me you need to buy. My son uses it as an alarm and he also can ask it questions and I will answer him

I actually bought the echo for my mom and she loves it! It has all the features of the tower version and it's so small -- it's practically portable! Highly recommend if you want to give Alexa a try!

This was bought as a gift for my 16 year old daughter and she loves having it in her bedroom. The sound quality is perfect for her space and she has said only positive things about how well it works for her.
