If you can get over the perception of potentially being listened to all the time, you will enjoy this product. Games, news, shopping, commands and more...loving it so far. The companion app is helpful, too.

I'm still planning out what home automation items to buy to use with this but so far its pretty cool.

Echo Dot is one heck of a device. I have two full size Echo and Echo Dot is just as good as it's "parent" except for the small speaker. I paired a good BT speaker to the Dot and now it sounds just as good.

the dot is a great add-on to the echo especially if you have great speakers you'd like to use. I have this in my living room connected to some Bose and the Echo in my bedroom. It's the perfect combo.

I love Alexa and now it's in my room without taking up space. I have the echo and this works just as well just smaller. You will want to hook it up to bluetooth speaker for better sound , simple to do.

We have an Amazon Echo in our primary residence and, based on our positive experience, we purchased a dot for each of our other two residences. We use it for weather, timer, news, music, etc. and love it.

Paired the Dot with my original Alexa device and it works great. Have replaced the old alarm clock in the bedroom and now I am waking up to music I have asked her to play daily. Great device!

I purchased this echo dot to streaming music in my car. With the help of my in-car hotspot, this device does a reasonable job. It is very easy to setup, and can answer your verbal request to stream a station, a particular song or singer. A ground loop noise isolator is needed for using in car.

I purchased 2 for gifts for my sons. I hope to purchase one for myself some day. They look like fun.

I've bought 3 of these, use one as an alarm clock/ stereo player with pandora don't need to open your eyes to find out what time it is. one to control the stereo in the living room, one next to the computer.

For the most part the echo dot has been great. There is a bit of a learning curve and the app is a bit of a mess honestly, but updates will do that. It works perfectly with my huenlights and nest thermostat.

The sale price at about $40 is a steal. The sound quality is more then adequate for my purposes. Alexa picks up her name from anywhere in the room. All in all, more then I expected from such a small device.

Very easy setup. New skills added all the time. Within 24 hours of receiving first one, purchased two more to increase coverage within my home. Would recommend to anyone that already has a Prime membership.

Love the Alexa, fun for simple things and has become a fun part of my life and since I am a techie kind of person I have fun making my own systems to work along side Alexa using ifttt software

My amazon echo is my little assistant throughout the house. I have one in just about ever major room in the home. It’s the cheapest assistant I ever had. I currently own five of them.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. But use it as well love love it. Tells me when packages have been delivered. Does alarms, played 20 questions with it. Great little gadget.

it is a great place you can own a voice recognition system but you need to push the button as there is no remote not like the expensive one Amazon Echo. This one is small and easy to put anywhere nearby you

I saw this item at a Christmas party and immediately purchased a few on my way home. I use it for weather, traffic and to stream music and I seem to be finding and using more features every day.

Had a single dot for about a year and everyone kept fighting over it. So for Christmas decided to get everyone their own. Was a great deal on black friday! Even got one for my niece.
