I bought this for me and at first I could not get any command to work ( I was saying the same wrong). Once I figured out my mistake it has been fun giving commands. I bought a second one for my son.

The sound is good for the size of the 'Dot' but not as great as the full size 'Echo'. It is a great way to expand 'Alexa' to other rooms and even greater at the 25% savings in cost around the holidays!

I had so much fun with my first one i bought another for down stairs.. combined with my amazon music subscription being able to ask for different music stations to listen too is great... now that the app has been upgraded and you can make calls via alexa it opens the door for more adventures

I was happy the install was very easy and the integration with my phone access was seamless. The 'skills' available have exploded since my purchase, however, I don't like that I have to activate skills and that I need to remember specific phrases to request the skill I am trying to access.

I love this thing. It gets used all the time in our house. It is so versatile and has so many possible connections. Only thing is, be prepared to spend more money on other things to pair with it.

I have six of these in my house and love every moment of it I can control using Alexa with my alarm and everything like my heater my lights music purchases and guidance and stories etc. etc.

This is a great product, but it sometimes is lanky and behind with certain skills but still great

The amazon dot is great for giving me the time and weather especially when I am trying to get ready for my daily gym workout.I enjoyed it so much I purchased 2 more for gifts.

I love the echo dots, they are quite impressive for their size and if you listen to music thru them you will be pleasantly surprised. I bought 4 for my home network and 6 for my kids and goddaughters..

I bought this for my mom. It’s useful if she’s unable to get up to the phone to have Alexia call someone for her ... you have to connect your phone to it ...

Really neat idea. play trivia games, listen to music, have to shut it off when grandkids are over because they wont stop asking Alexa to Pass Gas! the four letter word for it

Using this device as and addition to SmartThings system and love it. Speech recognition works pretty well in 9 of 10 times. Small form factor makes it easy to install in unobtrusive way. Tightly connected to AMAZON service and could be used to order items from this retailer using voice commands.

If you want a hands free device that has a ton of options and don't want to spend $180 or $130 for the Google device then the dot is for you! You can hook it up to surround sound or a Bluetooth speaker.

Im a huge fan of Amazon products. I love my new echo dot! It was simple to set up and use. I love all the features. Its great paired with my Bose sound link mini II. I would definitely purchase again!

The sound is good, but not great. The usefulness stays, but the fun wears off pretty soon. It was hard for some reason to get it set up to my phone hotspot...but on wireless it's fairly easy. Definitely not plug and play.

Great and affordable way to expand the echo capabilities into every room. I like that I can use it as a intercom to chat to people in other rooms. Decent sound from small device.

At first I thought it would just be a novelty, but as more functions become available it's utility has increased immensely . Finds recipes, gets the weather, traffic alerts before I leave for work, etc.

So, this is the first "alexa" thing I've owned. I have a few smart home items, but this little thing really ties it all together. Totally worth getting Amazon unlimited to go along with it.

Works ok was not easy to set up. At the sale price of 29.99 ok.
