I really like the echo dot. I am really pleased with the purchase and I am looking to purchase another to go along with my current dot and my echo. The quality of sound is excellent.

I have it connected to a lot of things and it works perfectly. I can ask it questions about all sorts of things and I get an answer. I can tell it to play certain music genres and so much more.

These just become habit forming, I started with the echo in the LR,then a dot for our BR, then Master Bath and now one for my work shop in the basement, will probably be adding more in the future.

I purchased the echo dot along with the echo plus, and i can say that i use the plus more , however. The dot is great as well, they do exactly the same thing. Would be awesome for a gift

Good for simple tasks like setting a timer, or asking basic questions ("Where were the summer Olympics held in 1952?"), or telling jokes. Also useful for tracking Amazon orders. There are probably many other features I haven't discovered yet. It has excellent voice recognition.

This purchase was thought about and reviewed before purchasing. I must be honest I love it and I hate it took me this long to buy one. I've told a few people they should invest in this product

Still needs more AI work to make this really useful. Google searches would be better than bing.

This device is a lot of fun to use.. plays music and also sounds. One warning..everything you say is recorded on your amazon account page...which can be deleted. You can not create your own voice command to activate so it can be accessed by anyone who says one of the 5 activation names.

I just wanted it to play quiet music for sleeping. The sound is very good for such a small speaker and the choice of free programming on Amazon Music meets my needs perfectly.

The sound it has is amazing. All of the song choices are great at Amazon music. Also the ability to hear Sirius is fantastic . Better than any other piece of equipment I have

I am completely satisfied as I knew I would be. Just like the Amazon Tap the Echo Dot provides the same function and usefulness. Morning Flash Briefing/Bluetooth makes for a great start to the day.

I haven't used my dots for much except playing music and Jeopardy :). My only complaint is that I use one at work and so I connect it to my wifi hotspot through my phone and every day I have to reset the wireless either than it recognizing my hotspot is on and connecting automatically.

I have Echo Show and bought this little dot to expand the range. Works perfectly. Now I listen to music all over the house. It was simple to connect......which was a miracle.

When I went to buy this, I heard one of the sales people discouraging someone from buying it if they weren't going to buy the full sized Echo with it. The sales guy said that it would be, "Pointless". Untrue. It depends how you intend to use it and the size of your space. For a house, it's too small and not loud enough. For a room, it's perfect because it's so small. Sound quality vs. the larger one is night and day, but if you just want music it'll do the job just fine. Besides, if you REALLY want good sound, you'd have to pair the Echo with an quality system anyway. A little disappointed with the sales guy (for the sake of the person he was talking to)... but happy with the product.

The echo dot works perfectly in my office. I don't need and fancy Dolby sound there but I do like being able to control my thermostat, my lights and call to different parts of the house.

Love using Alexa for many tasks! Timer! Weather! Music! There r so many other things like ordering on amazon! Starting the room a vac! It is small and has a decent speaker....

Love my Alexa. I have 2 of these in my home. They have became a part of my everyday living. Works great for starting the day with the news. Small but powerful speakers.

I don't know how I ever lived without Alexa. My favorite enabled skills are shopping list, news, weather reports, and music. I also like the restaurants near me feature. Def makes my life easier

We've had a regular echo in our bedroom and just got this one for our kitchen. The speaker is much better than I anticipated, and works just as good as our regular echo!
