We have two dots and two full size. We use it from light controls to the thermostat and not to mention music+ a sound machine when we sleep. Fantastic product that is always improving!

I purchased this for my son's room. He is 11 yrs old and just loves to have Alexa tell him jokes, play his favorite songs and turn the lights on. Great purchase.

Dot keeps getting better. Great for quick weather updates, plan to add smart items that can be controlled through it, provides me morning brief and plays music from my amazon music.

Not quite perfect yet, but darn close. Can’t wait until it integrates into vehicles

Speaker could be better but works well for a nightstand. Would not put in big room.

So happy to have picked this up on sale last Black Friday :) I wish the volume could go a little bit higher but I understand it's a cute little device and it does what it's supposed to. Thinking of getting a bigger one when it goes on sale

The Echo Dot can do so many things! Our original intent was to play music but she can tell a joke, give temperature, give other useful (and occasional useless) information.

Brought this for my sister. It works great. She really love it. I went out and brought me one also. I hope Best Buy stack up on these now, because they ran out just before Christmas. The price was good also, hope they offer the price again. I will be buying more for gifts

Was wondering if I would ever use Alexa and didn't want the big ticket price. Have had so much fun learning what she can do. Been a blast. Have it in multiple rooms! Love my Echo Dot!

Fun! We love that we can have her play just about any song. The games are fun and helps to have hands free calling. I actually bought 2 one for us and one for our son.

Purchased 3 for the some of the other rooms in the house. They are great because you don't have to walk downstairs to talk to Alexa or carry it with you all over the house.

I love this! It's so much cheaper than the bigger one and I don't think the bigger one does anything that this Alexa doesn't! I love asking her questions and playing games.

The dot does everything it promised and will likely get even better as apps are developed to work with Alexa. As others have noted it isn't designed for great audio, but works well enough for casual listening. Music and Audible are great additions to my morning prep time.

The Echo Dot is a great entry-level introduction into home automation. There is no need to be intimidated by any learning curve. This is a great device that the whole family can use.
