I have not used all of the functions of Alexa at this point, but we are certainly impressed with the glib manner in which she speaks. Sometimes she's a little hard of hearing and other times she pipes up seemingly randomly, but she does what is requested, mostly.

Easy to set up and fun to play with, my kids enjoy telling Alexa to play games, music etc. My wife and I enjoy getting a quick weather updates and the news in the morning.

Very simple to install and connect to other gadgets like my ring door tells me motion detected,hooked with fire stick my amazon account this thing is great.

Expand use all over house. Sometimes even take outside and plug in to play prime music outside on front porch or backyard patio

Great product! Works as you would expect! Highly recommend - smaller speaker not the best model for music listening. The big one is the way to go for music

My wife has the original Echo, the tall one. She wanted a smaller one for the bedroom. So this one makes a pretty cool lil gadget for that. Does all we expected.

Echo Dot is lot better compared to big Echo since only difference between both is speaker and we can connect Dot to our bluetooth speaker which sounds way better than big echo.

If you want a timer or know the weather it's great.

I received one a year ago as a gift. It has proved so helpful that I bought a second one on sale to put upstairs. Now I have on demand music throughout my home.

I love my Alexa it's so fun sometimes. You asking silly questions and you get silly answers. But if you ask Sirius questions that usually always gives you the right answer

The echo dot is by far the better purchase, I myself had a bluetooth speaker sitting at home that was going to be of better quality then the one built in the echo unit which costs way more than the dot. The dot listens to what you ask it to do, it can be paired with so many tasks, skills, and IFTTT which honestly allows it to do more almost everyday (if you don;t know what IFTTT is research it and then download it onto your phone, t's really cool!) All in all, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would buy again.

You get a lot of bang for your buck. This device is extremely easy to set up and easier to use. After a month, I'm still learning a lot of what this can do. Some of it by accident.

Hard wired this one to my speaker system and have access to Alexa for info and to play my music while I work. I added two smart bulbs and also regulate the lighting.

Best little device ever. I got my husband one for Christmas. I use it all the time. Use it for my grocery list, playing music. Got my grandson one for Easter because he loves mine.

Gave this as a gift and had nothing but good reviews from the individual. Its features are easy to use and makes things fun for them. The sound isnt the best as I am told.

I have the full size Echo set up in my living room and just purchased the Dot for our bedroom. I have it set up so we can turn the lamp on and off and can so easily set the alarm.

Bought this for my garage to control smart bulbs and garage door opener. I like the 2nd generation as it's easier to clean, just wipe off dirt and dust!

I purchase this to use with the WiFi in my SUV.it was easy set up and it works perfect and I have Alexa to talk because it a long drive to work.

It is so much easier to just ask Alexa a question rather than having to google everything. We use the dot to play music so we don't have to use our phones, etc.

I was hesitant at getting one of these, but given the inexpensive sale price (and reward certificates), I gave it a whirl. I only rate it a 4 since I've only explored a small amount of capabilities, but so far, I am liking it on my way to loving it.
