We didn't need the larger Alexa that provides the nice speaker, as we already have UE Booms, so it was nice to have this smaller and less expensive alternative. Works great!

Dont need full size, use dot with portable speaker for music, else non music sound quality is fine on Dot. Great to ask weather, sports scores, recipes ideas, and grocery list!

Thought this did not have a speaker...but it does, it just is not as good as the Amazon Echo. But get a Bluetooth speaker...and it is wonderful. For the price, you cannot beat it.

This is the perfect device for my newly installed Phillips Hue bulbs around the house! The fact that it connects me to my Prime membership is a huge plus as well!! Just awesome!

I have ended up buying a few more of these. I like that I can listen to music on them by just asking and also like the intercom function to communicate between rooms.

Works well just be careful if you have multiple units in the house, they will pick up on the other units and brodcast music or other thing where you don't want it too.

I ask it about spelling, weather, lots of info. Yes, I know I can do that on phone, but i just ask her. Also hooked to my tv Samsung bt sound bar. Awesome sound.

At first I was apprehensive about buying the dot and was think of returning it to the store, but once I set it up it was worth every cent. I use mine mainly to listen to music, news. The speaker was mediocre as wuold be expected of such a small gadget. I bought a bluetooth speaker to complement the sound and cannot be any happier. Voice commands are superb and to the point with answers. I will buy another one for intercom in the house. Shopping list is a plus. The only trouble with it is that am having difficulty connecting to SiriusXm radio. Many people have complained about this. It is highly recommended!!

So when your on the go and dont have time to check your phone.. No worries alexa got you. Just call her name to check the time, movie times, weather and more. Best device ever!❤️

Bought the dot for my grandson. He loves it. We have it set up to read him a story when he wants one and it will answer his questions, tell him jokes. He is really enjoying it

It is a great product! I ended up exchanging the echo dot for the echo to upgrade the sound. I decided I wanted to use it to listen to music and wanted the better speaker. The echo dot was great for conversations, etc, but the Echo was better for music.

I didn’t know what all I was getting when I purchased this. It has fun trivia games and will play songs you requested with out the hassle of downloading it.

It is great to just ask for your fav music to be played. I haven't gotten any smart stuff yet. This was my first addition to start my smart house. Great companion too!!

Save yourself a hundred dollars and get the echo dot. Great speaker with enough boom to fill a few rooms with the command of your voice. Skills are constantly being updated too!

Excellent cheaper version of the echo. I have both....full size in my kitchen and the dot in my bedroom. No need for a great speaker, just need to be able to control lights, etc .

The voice recognition works well and it does provide some useful things like weather, music, etc...I don't use it to order from amazon. I could certainly live without it and it is mostly a gimmick in our house but over time I can seee it becoming more useful.

We love this at our house. Super convenient to be able to use it for kitchen timers, alarms, and turning on/off lights. Also plays our Spotify great from our phones.

This is such a cool speaker! The alarm feature is such a nice way to wake up. Ordering on amazon couldn't be easier and the way Alexa can turn on my bedroom lights is awesome!

The Amazon Dot is perfect little device to have as an addition to the Echo. It nicely tucks away so it's not seen, but work great for adding home automation to your living space.

My 17 year old son asked for this for Christmas. I thought it was the most rediculous thing ever. But he gets a lot of use out of it. He uses it as an alarm. Asks it questions while doing homework. Will check the weather While getting dressed. He really likes it.
