Alexa has been a great fun to play with and nice to control all the smart home products I bought with it without having to worry about having an app for everything.

Overall good but do not care for the volume buttons. Prefer the ring on echo.

We have several Dots here and are buying more as presents for Christmas. There are various skills available and I know there will be more to come since anyone can submit a skill for possible publication. Fun, priced right, (fairly) new way to automate your home.

I got this as a gift. I use the DOT to play music, as an alarm clock and as a smaller remote version of the Amazon Echo that we have in the kitchen. Great little device!

I dont use it that much and have mixed feelings about it's surveillance of me, whether I'm being paranoid or not... so I haven't jumped on the Alexa train yet. It does what its supposed to... and I'm still not too sure what that is. :)

I thought the sound quality of the Dot was terrible. The Google Mini is much better and the same price. So I returned the Dot and bought a Mini. Note that I have two regular Echo's (second gen) ... and their sound is superb. I would not get the Dot.

I have a Dot and like it so much that I bought 4 for people at my work for Christmas. They have all told me this is best gift that they got this year for Christmas.

Love the Amazon Dot. There are so many things that can be done and so much information to be retrieved with just your voice. I would definitely recommend this item.

This is amazing! At this price, every home should splurge for one! Especially if you have Amazon Prime, there is no reason not to have this, as it work better with Prime.

Great product in a small footprint. Hooks up to my security system and Nest thermostat via wi-fi and plays any genre of music I want from Amazon Prime. Highly recommended

Bought the larger version for my daughter last year. This size works just as good for what I need. Bought it on special so I feel like I got a great deal

the alexa dot is a fun home "toy" and it will probably continue to improve over time, as the Artificial Intelligence capabilities expand, and as the Internet of Things (IoT) are easier to connect, or we all get on the band wagon. Since we don't have a lot of home devices connected in our house, we can't do all of the cool things like use Nest for managing our heat and lights. But we do use alexa for music, shopping, calendars, some recipes (that's a little rough around the edges yet), the news and weather reports. We wish she had a bit of "Watson" in her and could answer more questions, but i'm sure that is coming! The apps are interesting, you just have to set everything up, and the grocery app is a bit unwieldy, but what do we expect? magic? We like it, enjoy it and are using the dot regularly. I am a Best Buy member, but just could not find my card while writing this review. sorry!

This is my second echo dot and I love it. Functions as my alarm, radio station, and of course, my encyclopedia (not sure millennials know what that is).

I have fun seeing what kind of crazy questions I can ask Alexa and I like that she connects with light bulbs to turn rooms on or off by voice command and change colors

I wish the speaker was a little louder, but I knew it wasn't that loud when I bought it. Easy to connect and listen to music. I really like the traffic function on it.

My echo dot is the best thing ever. Who knew that something so small could have such great sound. My husband laughs because I tell him Alexa answers me better than he does

This product works great and answers questions, cues up music. You do have to learn how to ask your questions in a format she understands. The speaker is the best out there.

I own the echo Alexia and wanted the dot for the bedroom and bathroom and garage. The dot is perfect for these areas. I love the Echo...big or small!! Definitely recommend!!

Great form factor at a great price. Picked this up as my one control for all things smart home. Very intelligent and useful.

Absolutely one of the best items I have ever purchased. This thing can do so much. Learned my voice. Loaded with skills. I love this more than a personal assistant.
