Right now, primarily used for music and checking weather. Voice control is excellent - easy to change stations and volume. Learning more about its capabilities every day.

I really like my echo dot,My main purchase is to hear music at any given time. I just ask her in passing what ever music I request or in the mood to hear and she find it.

Easy to use. If you live technology this is for you. You can link your bank to check your balance. You can order pizza, check the weather, use it as an alarm and much more.

I own 3 Amazon Echos at home and love them. I bought the Dot to take to work. Now I have music, weather, news, etc. with me all day long while I am working. Life is good!!!

Does everything that you see in the commercials. Sometimes it doesn't understand the command or mis interperates it. Sound quality is pretty good for such a small size. Music selection it very limited with out Amazon music unlimited subscription.

I love my echo dot. It is so fun and easy to ask questions, get the weather or news reports and play music. I have two of them and love them both. I highly recommend.

I'll start with the cons: - Background noise can interfere with its detection and accuracy. - Be aware that children should not use it unsupervised if purchasing is enabled - Reasonable as a speaker, not great. And so far, that's it. Pros galore: - Very responsive - Extremely accurate when not interfered with (by background noise) - Long distance reception: 30 feet and two rooms away without yelling! - Fast response - Fairly polite and communicates well (acknowledgements) - Fun when you're bored, still fun when you're not - Able to control a huge number of devices and has a wide range of capabilities

The echo is a neat tech item. It is useful as well as being fun. It comes in handy when your hands are busy doing other things. It also helps people who are Aline because you kinda feel like you have someone with you. It is a fun and useful tool.

I bought this for my 12 year old son for Christmas. He absolutely LOVE it. He talks to it and it tells the weather and the time, as well as play songs. Great Buy!

These are great for the $30 price I paid. The Alexa ecosystem is impressive. However, if you are not committed to that, the Google mini is probably a better unit.

Pretty much everything I expected. It connected to many of my smart devices.

The Echo Dot is a great addition to any house, working with the Amazon Alexa and providing another outlet for information in a different part of the house.

For the price point the Echo is great as a tool for asking questions, using as a personal assistant for timer, scheduling and lists. Great gift for home and family use.

Nice and can be hooked up to bluetooth, but really don't need to. If you have the Echo, you will love the dot...even if you don't you will love it. They work independently.

Use Echo dot mainly for music & weather. Hooked up very nice speakers sounds great. Play around experimenting with different questions and some surprising answers love it

Love this thing I bought the dot for my office added a speaker to it and I love it ask it everything and treat it like your assistant. For reminders and information.

Bought this for my in-laws who weren't so sure about a voice assistant. The price is great, and now they love it! It connects to everything with ease.

I have 3 second gen echo dots and would have given it 5 stars, except now I bought a couple of the third gen dots and find them to have a much better sound quality. While on sale, I’d say pay the extra $10 and go for the third gen.
