I had reward points and had a couple of friends using the Echo Dot so I got this one. I use it mainly for listening to music but it answers other questions as well.

I was a little skeptical at first about making the purchase, but after reading the overwhelming positive reviews, I decided to buy it. I'm glad I did, I love it!

Although the sound falls short of the echo, this was a great addition to a smaller room in the same household. Works great for smaller spaces where you just need a little speaker. Use it while getting ready in the morning for news and weather.

After owning both an Echo Dot and a Dot, my main concern is these nifty little gadgets can essentially replace doing homework that demands any thought by your kids. It's both a blessing and a curse. I just think it will be easily abused.

I had the original Echo downstairs and wanted something to play nature sounds and other music in the bedroom. This is the perfect little add-on to do so.

Great time for young and old !! My 8 year old grand daughter plus 18 year old grand son and I (77) years young are having a super time using and learning the Dot.

The Echo dot is amazing at voice recognition. It surpassed my expectations. Right now I'm using it as my alarm clock until I find more cool things to do with it ;-)

Best feature is voice controlled internet radio. Works for asking time, weather, sports schedule and scores . Keep questions simple. Requires activation of (free) "skills" for most topics Perhaps not as good as Google but good for the price.

Love my dot, smaller size but does the same as the bigger one. speaker is smaller but does not affect overall use. Great to use with a smart home devices. a must buy

With its sleek design and adequate speaker, i can listen to my favorite music and turn on and off lights with my voice. Amazon echo is definitely worth buying imo.

We purchased the dot to increase the coverage for Alexa in our home. We have all the function and have it paired to a Samsung R3 speaker for amazing sound.

The Dot does exactly what I would expect it to do. It pairs well with my Bluetooth speaker and works pretty well. Only issues is sometimes you have to speak directly at it in order for it to pickup compared to the full echo which picks up much better.

I had already purchased an Echo Dot for the family room. Far field capability is quite good for such a small device. No need to shout when you're not near the Echo in order to control smart devices in the home. Needed one upstairs in the master bedroom to control the ceiling fan, lights and TV. Alexa is pretty good on understanding vocal commands to control smart devices, but improvement is still needed. In addition, integration varies based on different manufacturers' devices. For example, it works incredibly well with Philips' Hue system and pretty well with GE's z-wave smart fan control switch. However, Logitech's Harmony's smart hub system to control the TV and audio components is mediocre at best. This is not as much a flaw with the Echo as much as it is with Logitech's failure to develop adequate software to integrate Harmony well with the Echo.

The Echo is a great addition to Your home. when Alexa is linked to smart technology, she seamlessly answers Your commands like turning up your Thermostat, turning your lights on and off, and answering questions You may have. Bur her greatest strength is when she ins linked to Amazon Music. it is amazing You just ask her to play an artist or a certain song and it is played. never realized the Amazon library was so immense, she has played every album I have ever owned, plus new selections. when paired to a blue tooth speakers or sound bar the audio is great. for the money the echo dot is a must have .

Bought this device to test creating lambda functions and write my own apps. Ended up enjoying just having this around. Easy to use, setup and play out of the box.

I purchased this with my first pair of Sonos 1 speakers. Unfortunately, the Alexa commands were too long and complex to make using it worth the trouble. The Echo lived in the garage streaming music to some old computer speakers for a while. Then we purchased a new Sonos Move speaker and I discovered the new Groups feature and I was able to re-integrate the back as Sonos controller. I just added a gen 3 echo for better Alexa coverage my wife really likes music/voice control.

I liked it so much that I purchased two. One stays in the kitchen for the family to use and the other stays in my office to help me manage my appointments and tasks.

It was for my moms birthday and she loves it. She had been seeing it on TV and it said she would love to have Lexus so we surprised her for her birthday this year.

I recently bought this item for a graduate, she was absolutely thrilled! She has had nothing but fun with it. I recommend getting a Spotify subscription with it.
