After reviewing the new dot offered at 29.95 chose the 2nd. Generation, I have a Bose speaker and saw no need In paying more for a dot with a little larger speaker.

The only negative is the sound quality is only ok . Fine for a small room but if you use it to listen to music in a large room a Bluetooth speaker is recommended
