I bought this as a gift for Christmas and I hope they like it.

I now have three of these in my home. Love them. Use them for questions Alexa can answer, timers, alarms, etc. also use with my smart plugs.

I have this and it's competitors and they all work about the same - voice recognition is great and works well.

It’s a great add on for the echo. It’s loud enough with Alexa voice but not with music. I use one echo and two echo dots so far and will purchase a few more. It’s good to start with before purchasing the echo or echo plus.

Not very loud but we have a small apartment so it works perfect! Would suggest the larger one or additional speaker if being used for a bigger room/area!

Friends loved it, makes music playing so much easier and lots of other features as well for such a cheap item.

Hook up to my home network was easy and haven't had any connection problems. Sound is good. Love the Echo Dot!

A smart home's best friend for smaller rooms. I have my dot hidden under the nightstand where it is fully functional, but not taking up needed space.

It was very easy to set up and connect to the hub unit. It is a lot of fun and helpful. A great addition to building up a smart home ecosystem.

This is my 4th alexa and i just love it. Even my teenage son love it. I was able to connect my lights and ring door bell easily. Works well

love the echo, its very informative, its answers a lot of questions you ask it, sync it with your phone and plays music, is a timer are just to name a few

I have the echo dot and the full size echo and my only complaint with the dot is sound quality but thats why I also purchaced the full size echo

I purchased both products. Alexa Echo dot, and Google home. I can assert that Alexa is much smarter and more fun to talk to. Even calling her name is much easier than "hey google" for the google home. Google home can't add tasks/events to google calendar. Alexa does that, using google calendar (the irony). Alexa can control WEMO switch. Google home can't. Alexa can connect to other speakers. Google home can't. That doesn't mean Alexa doesn't have any issues. For example, Alexa can't connect to youtube to stream stuff on TV. Alexa is an EXCELLENT deal. I truly love her.

I so love being able to speak with somebody that can give me the correct answers. I love being able to say play and it starts effortlessly. I love Alexa!

Wow what a great product, Beats iPhone voice recognition hands-down. I bought two and intend to buy two more. Almost like having a helper in the house.

Bought this to help my husband around the house. He loves Siri on his I phone and now he can ask echo questions or to play a certain song. He loves it!!!

We use this for our home - we don't have smart home devices - so cant comment on that. We use it as an alarm clock - reminders - making calls - and listening to music / audiobooks For the purposes we use - we love it -

We were so happy with the first one we bought we got another while on sale for a great price. Minutes to setup and we were on our way.

If you have Echo, you need dots. We've spread them through the house to control light or any other accessory in the area of the dot. Must haves.

My son uses this every day. While he didn’t need to make his life any easier than it already is, he says the Echo Dot does just that!!
