I like Alexa. I would like discovering devices was easier

Alexa sometimes requires me to repeat my request to turn on or off lights 3 and 4 times. Other times she gets it 1st time. My wife experiences the same. That said she is fun to play games with and ask questions of.

So easy and convenient to use. I also bought one for an elderly family member. He enjoys telling it to play his favorite music.

Extremely easy to use, great for older people who need help with learning to use technology. Simple to just ask a question and have alexa respond.

I bought this product for my daughter and she has raved about how much she loves it. The quality of this speaker is excellent.

We've had fun asking Alexa questions, but we've been disappointed in the range of what she can answer. We thought it would be more like a search with a search engine, only with her giving her best answer. By far the majority of the time "she" doesn't understand the question. She does play music very well, especially when hooked up to a Jam bluetooth speaker. Now, we're not too sure about the security since she's always listening. We're now very concerned with what is being recorded and kept. We now keep the mic turned OFF unless we want to listen to music. Would I recommend this to a friend....I'd say it's between a maybe and yes.

I have Alexa on Echo, Fire Stick, and now Dot. The whole family gets a kick out of the concept. It's too small to get any really decent sound from. I linked it to a Sony sound bar that I linked via bluetooth. It sounds great !

I love the Alexa dot it can turn my lights on and what not and that makes it super useful. I got it on sale idk pay full price now though.

Bought this to accompany my smart things and I love it! Now we can ask Alexa to turn off the lights or arm the home without going through the app.

Excellent product works great set it up with my Bluetooth play music at it all the time I don’t have to use my phone . It’s a lot of fun

I bought this to put in my kids' room after I got the Echo and I do like that they can listen to music, but the sound quality is not as good as the Echo. It works well, but the speaker could definitely be improved.

Easy setup and loads of fun to have in the house! We already had built in speakers which we rarely used because it was inconvenient to leave our phones connected, but we have the Dot there now and it's made all the difference.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR NEEDS AND WANTS ON WHETHER YOU GET THE DOT OR THE ECHO. I GOT BOTH! SOUND IS OBVIOUSLY BETTER FROM THE FULL SIZE ECHO.

This has been a nice addition, pairs easily with other Bluetooth devices. Especially nice with smart outlets and other speakers for music.

Great to ask to play Pandora or your music without having to do anything but ask! Nice intercom feature when using the other Amazon device

My husband has purchased 3 echo dots, one for each level of our home. They work great for programming lights in the house to go or off at specific times for when we go out of town, or just want a light on when we get home from work. We can ask Alexa, the name of the dot, to turn on a light in the upstairs bedroom before we get up there so it won't be dark. You can ask her to turn on or off a light in any room that has the special plug to program. There are MANY more functions such as asking her what the weather will be today, etc. You will enjoy it.
