This is a good addition to put with my original Alexa.

My husband and I are enjoying the Echo Dot so much! It sounds great and sometimes very interesting when Alexia answers your questions.

I got it for my nieces for Christmas and they love it.

I wish the speaker was a bit louder when playing music

The echo Dot is a fun and useful gadget. We use Alexa to turn lights on and off, to listen to music and get the daily news information

Right now I really only use it for weather and news and for musician interval training, but it is really handy and a great size for the office.

The 2nd gen dot improves a lot from 1st gen and works really great with improved sound

Works great I love it, my whole family loves it. Something I wouldn't have bought for myself but was glad I received it.

We've had our Echo Dot for quite awhile, works as great now as the day we bought it. Love having it in our kitchen!

This is not a necessity but once you have it so convenient to use your voice to control lights, music and even order pizza and amazon products.

Don't really use the Echo to do anything productive in day to day life. I ask it to play music when I am working at my desk. get sports updates, future weather or what's on tv. Things I used to do on my phone but now I can just ask out loud. Kids have the most fun with it requesting jokes and what not. Couldn't use Alexa as the command request because there is an Alexa in the house so it was changed to respond to Echo. Apparently, anything that sounds remotely like Echo will activate it. I have to unplug it when I am having conference calls because it would activate all the time and say I DON'T KNOW. Made that first conference call with it in the room kind of funny. All in all it is not that bad.

We use it on a daily basis. great interface. very much a user easy product. they update Alexa almost everyday with better and new options.

I have found this product to work as advertised so far. The distance from device for commands is impressive and it has performed admirably. The device needs to improve in some areas like increased functionality. In what it can do it seems to do very well but it will not respond unless you ask your question in a precise manner. Better instructions; the ability to add your own wake up name; a better understanding in recognizing the different ways a question can be asked to get a response and the ability to get more information on a question instead of stopping or referring you to a web site for more information would be appreciated. For the price it's fills the need for which I bought it and hope that it will increase in it's functionality as time goes on.

This is great for travel and arou d the house. Fun facts, jokes, music, weather. You can hear it all and set reminders too.
