Great start for home assistant tech

Alexa does some fairly cool tricks. I enjoy having her read me the news and give me a weather update. I wish the weather update could be fine tuned to tell me what time of day to expect rain. Until Amazon integrates with my Sonos system, Alexa is more of a novelty. I don't have any other smart devices in my house that Alexa could tap into and I don't plan to in the near future. Maybe someday when the prices come down and I care. However, for the price of a Dot, it is totally worth it for the novel experience and the little surprises here and there. Just yesterday, my daughter asked Alexa how to spell valentine.
