The Amazon Echo Dot is compact for our Alexa requests. The microphone pics up audio well and connects to our connected home.

My daughter and wife use this every day and i am a big fan of it myself. i have brought other smart home items to accompany it!

The Amazon Echo Dot works with a great number of home control devices and has many useful functions from setting an alarm to answering mathematical questions to playing games. It will connect to a bluetooth speaker and play music for you if you're a Amazon Prime customer. You can use several throughout the house to act as an intercom system, make phone calls, etc. The one function that needs to be updated is the inability to "play everywhere" when bluetooth speakers are connected.

I own four of these. They are awesome to have in every room if you were the type that likes to stay connected and informed.

The Dot is all you need if on a budget. Although the sound is thin it is clear and loud enough so that you can hear music or speech from across the room. IF you have a extra large room and want a bigger sound with more base, you can use the dot's 3.5mm output jack to connect it to your TV's sound bar (if your sound bar has a 3.5 input jack) or connect to a bigger amplified speaker. Also great for bedrooms and bathrooms especially if you subscribe to Amazon Music for $10 per month.

Decent sound. Great gadget for tech lovers. Wanted the echo but didn't have the budget for it. This little dot works wonders.

Set up can be a little tiedious as each "app" or command set requires individual set up and downloads. But it's fun and helpful.

Easy to set up. Love the list feature. Still figuring out all the things to do. Great for checking the weather in the morning.

It's Amazon, it's an echo dot, it is fun, it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Would recommend this product to everybody.

Got 2 of these for my kids to use an an alarm clock and for music. Got an external bluetooth speaker because the internal one sucks. Other than that, it's great. Sounds great with the external bluetooth.

The setup is really easy and quick with the app. It's definitely really fun to use and I would buy more in the future.

Think of this as your smart home bridge that connects everything together. Nest/Phillips lights/Xbox/PS4/TV/AV Receiver. etc..

Nice addition to Alex and the Echo Show. We play music throughout the house, nice to have that ability, and works well.

This item was bought for someone else as a gift but once I set it up for them I had to have it. Very useful. Highly recommend.

I love the echo dot for a couple of reasons. One-it makes it really handy for shopping lists as it goes to both my phone and the wife. Also, it was really easy to set up. It is great for music too..

Perfect gifts for my daughters! They use them as alarm clocks and get weather forecasts to choose clothing for school.

Alexa controls our lights, av equipment and the thermostat. The dot can seemingly hear much better than the regular Echo. This dot will often respond instead of the Echo I’m sitting right next to. The speaker is horrible. If you are thinking of using this for music, I strongly suggest some type of speaker/amplifier to use in addition. It sounds worse than a tin can. I’ve also learned more is not always better. We have a small house and actually had to reduce the number of ‘Alexas’. If a distant one responded to a request to turn a light on or off, it typically wouldn’t happen. We have to talk to it quieter so only the closest one hears and then we have no issues.
