I have the tall unit and bought this smaller one for the bedroom. Works just as well.

I have to say both my wife and I love the Dot- we now own two. It is brilliant for connecting to bluetooth speakers and playing music. It is also very good for things like the weather.... and you can add 'skills' (similar to apps on a smart phone), but this is where it falls down in my opinion. You have to remember for each 'skill' you add, how to ask Alexa. These often have to be done in a very specific way, using the name of the 'skill' and quite frankly it is a nightmare trying to remember them all. You also get varying results from these 'skills' (but there is a list of top rated and most of those are good/do work). I wish it would answer questions like google's version

I am from the baby boomers generation so not really into all the modern gadgets.but this is nice to get information from at times I like to listen to music when I'm cooking too

Boy what a difference in sound from the Gen 3. Gen 2 not near as good for music. But i use this one for questions and an alarm in my bedroom and it is perfectly fine for that.

A really nice alarm clock to wake up by. Easy to listen to music and get the weather reports before getting out of bed.

Love this product. It can find any music you ask for the only down side is you have subscribe to a music program to get the full benefit. I enjoy asking random questions. Also use it as an alarm.

Love the echo, used it to place it in my garage, and send voice command to turn on my alarm system just before I leave.

Installation is so easy, we have all our echos connected. They work great and work amazing with the app.

I was uncertain as if it would play through my speakers because it's an older sytem & it hooked up easily and works great!

The dot is the right size and works really well. I have 4 in different parts of the house. Music in the bathroom!

Awesome better than Siri. Alexa seems to have answers to most of the questions. Love to play Amazon music on Alexa.

I have purcahsed 3 of these for our home. Love that I can turn lights on and off while not home. No problems with the units

I have two echo Dot and they work great. One is connected to Bose speaker via aux port which sounds fantastic!

This a great because of size, and small power consumption. We love our Amazon echo so this was a nice addition. I just wish it had the same Wi Fi network hardware as the Echo

Great Alexa Dot device especially comes in handy when you also have an Echo device in a separate part of the house!

I like that this seems to hear me better than my Echo, but the speaker quality is much less than that of the Echo. We have this paired with a bluetooth speaker for when we want it to play music.

We love the echo for music if you have Amazon Prime. Just ask her to play a song, artist, or even genre and she does. We also love using her for timers, reminders, and to create grocery lists.

It’s a really easy to install assistant and was well worth the 29.99! Only problem I see is the issues amazon has to resolve with google such as using YouTube with Alexa... simple as that
