If you are into home automation I would give this a short. Amazon echo has been around for some time and many devices out there support it. Surprising for my Indian accent Alexa is able to understand me 90% of the time. I use Alexa with a Hue color starter kit and it works amazingly well with it. Honestly if you do not have any home automation devices this would be pretty useless you rather use your phone (iOS or Android) to do everything what Alexa does except shopping on Amazon ;) .

I purchase the echo dot because I got the Lifx light bub to work together and I love it makes switching lights On/Off easier in some situations. Planning to add more tech to go with the echo.

I purchased the Echo Dot on sale during Black Friday for $39.99. The family instantly loved it. You can ask "Alexa" virtually anything and she will answer; from math problems to fun facts, and if you purchase Amazon Music for $3.99 a month you can play any song on your Echo Dot. I purchased another Dot for my son for Christmas and he loves it in his room. Next step, purchase a few smart plugs and control the lights (home automation). I love this item and is well worth the price of $49.99.

I have used it to turn on lights, play music, check my orders, make shopping list, tell time, set reminders and calendar events, check store hours. Wish it could stream music straight from my pc instead of through a pay service. Can only play 250 songs for free. If they ever fix that one thing I'll just like it even more. Got this when it was on sale for $40 and I had $25 in rewards so only cost me $15. It's well worth the $50 but I will wait for the next sale to buy another for upstairs.

I just love my alexa echo dot playing trivia music and there are so many other features to i have yet to check out

The Echo works as a pair with our Bose Sound Touch. So far it seems to work seamlessly. Will be purchasing more as gifts.

I love this product, in fact, I purchased another one for my bedroom. It integrates well with my Wink Hub Smart Home Devices and makes controlling my house so easy. Easy setup, and configuration.

Keep this next to me on the nightstand. Nice to wake up and just speak to hear music or watch tv. Once you start using it you will wonder why they still make remote controls.

I got this for my wife so she could turn lights on and off and find out the weather as she is getting ready for work.

This is a great size for a bedroom. It isn't as nice as the larger one, but perfect for a bedroom or small office.

The echo dot is the best Christmas gift I purchased for my self. Excited about learning and building together with Alexa. I will be adding other items like smart lights, another dot or 2

The Echo Dot is great for all kinds of tasks. Turning on and off lights. Playing music for my puppies while we are away.

Hooked it up to a Bose speaker and the sound is fantastic. Even without using the better speaker it still has good sound.

Alexa makes life easier, and safer since now I dnt have to come home after dark into a dark house. She turns on my lights.
