Got a Kindle Fire tablet (gen 5, 7" screen) and it controls the smart plugs too. Pay for Amazon music (I think about $4.00 a month) and Alexa will play just about any song you can ask it. Either use a 3.5" male-to-male jack to a speaker or soundbar, or if its a Bluetooth speaker just pair it. I've had a lot of fun trying out different things this device can do!

It's cool but quickly became a novelty

The downside is I can do everything without Alexa and still I don't know how much of a Time Saver It is. It quickly became a novelty sitting on my shelf.
