Great addition to my home

Both do similar functions like controlling many of the smart lights thru the house. But one thing the Echo Dot does much "better" is update and add items to my Google Calendar....figure that one out. The only way to manage a Google Calendar with the Google Home Assistant is via a IFTTT Applet. Sometime it works and then again sometime it doesn't. If you're just starting out you can't beat the Echo Dot.

Okay but not the sound
