I bought this device to use for my room and I paid a extra $6.00 dollars for same day shipping and I would like to say I am very satisfied with the purchase I made. I like the features on the Amazon Alexa dot 2nd gen because it is very easy to use and very easy to get reminders and set notifications and also tell you how the weather is and overall the device is very resourceful and in good and useful ways.

Great gift idea and easy to use. Its the first step in getting your house to a smart house Easily sets up to smart plugs and ask alexa to shut or turn on anything u plug into it.

Very happy with my purchase. I have one in every room which is tied into both my whole house audio but also my home automation. I use them to control both via Alexa voice commands.

We are quite amazed at the clarity and volume the Echo Dot puts out. The sound quality is good for the price and the volume has been sufficient for the kitchen and family room area. While you can buy bigger speakers with more output and higher sound quality, I prefer the Dot because of it's small size. It is very unobtrusive and can be easily moved when needed. We like it so much we gave several as gifts.

My wife and I purchased the dot to try out. Links to our smart thermostat and lots of other things. We loved it so much we have since purchased the echo show. Like that even more.

Christmas gift for granddaughter. She loves it. Mostly uses it for music and alarm. Can do so much more. Just haven't tapped into it yet. Really great electronic. Great price too!

Our first echo, a gift, we found it easy to install and set up. A lot of fun to mess with, even my young son can speak with Alexa.... from music to general knowledge, it is handy.

I’m enjoying it so far. I mostly use it for basic things such as setting alarms and getting weather and traffic updates in the morning. I’m excited to explore all that Alexa can do.

This is our second echo dot. It is easy to set up and the kids especially love asking her questions. I haven’t been able to set them up to pair together... not sure if this is even possible. We set one up with some JBL speakers (2) and the other one up with a sound bar thing in the living room. They have good quality sound even without the Bluetooth speakers though. I think we might buy another to have one for the second floor.

I have one and bought another for a gift. My granddaughter lays down with me and ask Alexia to play toddler songs and we sing all kinds of songs. Great time and enjoy the memories

Once I stopped calling Alexa “Siri” I discovered and continue to discover its many uses. Playing music - pretty much everything I ask for - and getting facts faster than going to my phone to search, getting recipes, the time, weather, and the most fun - telling Alexa to turn lights on and off in various rooms of the house in conjunction with Wemo smart plugs. I now have 3 of these Dots. Highly recommend.

Was very pleased with the improvement over first generation. Alexa is still a bit buggy and will activate to conversations or TV sounds. We use it to manage sonos and Phillips hue in the room. The device is an improvement but hopefully amazon can improve the software.

Great for a person who does not use a lot of features! It does not cost a arm and a leg! If you want to use all of the features, you can and consider yourself getting a real deal!

Added this Echo dot and connected to stereo so can now play my Amazon Prime music library all over the house and backyard through stereo system. Great addition to the Echo family.

Heavily discounted this Holiday season. Paired with unlimited music from Amazon is amazing, not to mention voice control of lights, fans, thermostats, etc. Endless possibilities.

The Dot is a clever piece of technology for the price. Must admit I didn't compare closely with similar offerings from the likes of Google as a friend had Echo, but am pleased with what it can do, and am busy learning what works best. I can see for those wanting a more powerful sound, or portability, the larger Echo models would be better, but the Dot's speaker is ok, although for music I generally use it via Bluetooth to a Samsung sound bar.

Echo dot is AI device which can make your life easier, instead of typing to computer like before, now you can talk to your device, ask any questions, it will try to give you an answer. The sound quality from the device is good enough to listen to music, but not that high quality sound. Anyway, you can link it to other Bluetooth speaker. This Echo Dot is pretty small and very cheap compare to similar device from others, like Google home.

I was a little skeptical about the Echo Dot considering that it indicates that you should connect to a Bluetooth speaker; however, for what this device is it actually has decent sound and works really well with audible and my music library. In some ways I like this better than my full-sized Echo as it takes very little room on the nightstand and it works flawlessly. I like this so much that I bought several of them to give as gifts for Christmas.

Does everything I expected and more. I needed somthing to control my tech obsession. I use dot in every room in my house to control my music, tv, lights, and my thermostat. The voice control works amazing. The best part is you don't have to just use it with amazon products. It networks seemless with my other Bluetooth speakers and home theatre. Purchased a battery pack and even use it at voice control in my car. My two cents.. Well done Amazon!!!

This is my second Alexa Echo I like it much better than the Google home that I had first purchased love it so much I plan on getting the Echo Show and The Echo spot to go with it
