Coming from a 1st gen dot, this dot sounds a lot better. I’m disappointed they got rid of the micro usb connector. Other than that, I’m pretty satisfied.

We love our echo dot. We keep it in the kitchen to play music while cooking or cleaning.

Easy setup, find myself using it often. I don't know how I got by without it Better than google and Siri.

Good range for listening voices. Accurate is capturing the words most of the time from all family members including children. Still needs time to grow in terms of search.

Great Amazon Echo Dot Smart Speaker with Alexa, using all the time

The echo dot is Amazon's product that uses the Voice- assistant named Alexa. It is a great product and so much you can do with her and she only gets better. I don't use her for home automation, so I do not know how well that is, but for the things I use her for, she has done well. I mostly use her for music, timers, alarms, news, and weather. I would mostly recommend this to people that have an Amazon Prime account. If you don't, I would say go for a brand that you use most often. Google has the Google Home which is neat. Apple has the Homepod. Microsoft is rumored to partner with Harman and Kardon to use Cortana.

Echo Dot is so easy. You never know when you will need it until you do and then you say that it is so hard to be without. Any music/artist at your fingertips. This is great !

Easy to use. Easy to set up. Kids enjoy asking questions. I enjoy putting my shopping list on it.

My wife bought it to use with playing her audible and prime music and is using it daily.

I bought this is just so I can see what all the hype is about. I found that I do really like it and use it everyday. Great for the kids who can't seem to answer their cell phone. You can just drop in have a conversation and know what's going on in your home. So yes I love Alexa. Love the fact that I can set alarms and send messages and use it as not only a speaker but also as an intercom and alarm.

I also have the echo, and love them both. Really fun to ask questions and get fast answers. Kids love it.

I like it! Works nicely. Had to call for setup help but it was easy to get thru and all was well.

This has been a great product for me. I have been using it to listen to audio books and music while I am building my shop. It also controls my lights with smartthings integration. The only frustration was initially getting it to register/connect to wifi, but after getting that working it had been flawless. I do have it hooked up to larger speakers. I don't think it would be good for music with the built in speaker. For 50 bucks you can't go wrong.

Awesome gift. Got for daughter for Christmas. She uses it for her music. She loves it.
