This device works perfectly with the Harmony Hub. Control your TV, DVD player, fire stick, etc. as well as lights in the home and other smart devices. Amazons new feature of calling someone else with an Alexa is nice as well when you are busy cleaning or cooking and want to talk to a family member or friend hands free. Weather is convienent as well as news. I would definitely buy another for multiple rooms in my home. Worth the money

My family really enjoys these items because we are always coming up with new ways to utilize them. I want to buy one for my parents - I think they will bet a kick out of them.

The amazon Alexa has become a essential tool in my house the moment my Autistic child began giving it orders. The first time she said "Alexa Play Playlist ..." I cried. The Echo dot allowed me to place them in her room and other places in the house at an affordable price. They work well on there own and can be paired with better speakers via bluetooth or cable making it sound better that its more expensive counterparts.

Don't bother with the full sizes Echo, The Dot is all you need same functions for a fraction of the price, I don't stream audio from my but only use as a smart home controller.

I'm so happy with my Dot 2, I bought three more to place all over my home. The Dot answers questions, plays music all over the house, turns on and off lights ect. I love them.

the speakers on these are not amazing, but it works, if you can afford the big one its good, but if you can not, u must get one of these, I have one in every room in our home.

We got this 1 for our bedroom (we have the plus in our living/kitchen) & it is great! Since it’s in our bedroom I use it for music & ambient sounds to sleep. Highly recommend!

I like the echo dot very much. I use it almost everyday to ask questions or play music and change the television without stopping what I’m doing. I had my son set it up so it was fairly easy to get going. I bought my nephew one also since he liked mine so much.

We purchased the Dot on Black Friday along with some smart switches. Was very easy to set up and pair with our Blue Tooth speaker and the smart switches. Alexa is very responsive and will tell you the news, weather, play music and much more. We went away over Christmas and forgot to turn the heat on. Using Alexa, I was able to turn the smart switch controlling our electric fire place and avoid any costly issues..

Very handy and entertaining. Even my technology hating wife finds it useful. Great voice recognition. Excellent control over managed devices (TV and accessories; Lights, etc.)

Absolutely love Alexa, have two Dots. One is downstairs, one is upstairs. Have tied in with multiple lights and thermostat for voice control. Great entertainment and resource.

I want to get one for every room. Alexa is there to answer questions and link with smartthings to control your home with your voice. Do yourself a favor and get one of these.

The Echo dot has allowed audio books and music to be activated & played anywhere in my house with just my voice.........a real blessing for those of us who can't see or walk.

I have three of these so far. Works great with compatible zwave lights excellent to use for streaming music when connected to a stereo reciever or bluetooth amplified speaker.

This is a very basic gadget but fun for what it is. I’m glad I didn’t invest in one of the more expensive Alexa devices. I started getting a little bored at the end of our first day together. Bluetooth is finicky. Got my iPad connected but it would even consider my UE Boom. Seems to be slanted just a bit against Apple devices but mayb it is that fickle with everything. I have no point of reference as most of my devices are Apple. All that said, I am finding myself drawn to Alexa as well as used to getting news feeds, weather reports, the time and a few other things. She can be funny when she chills out. They say she gets Better and smarter as she gets to know you. I sure hope so. And yes I’m glad I made that $50 investment.

It's a lot of fun to use and it's improving day by day. Good quality speakers. Works with lot of switches and can be used to turn off and on different equipment paired to it.

Alexa, where have you've been all of my life? I love the Echo and the Echo Dot. I have one or the other in nearly every room of the house. The sound is amazing and it's great being able to get information, just by asking questions. The speaker on Dot is not as good as it is on the Echo but it still sounds good. You can hook it up to Bluetooth speaker for better sound. It does everything the Echo does, it even turns my lights on and off.

This just arrived today, and I have it set up. It's easy to use and really responsive my voice commands, though I'm still learning the proper way to phrase things Alexa will recognize. So far, I really like the device.

Good little speaker. Like the feature that works with the fire tv. Easy to control.

I have 5 of these throughout the house now. The closest one always responds. I really like the ability to group some or all of them together to play music in multiple rooms.
