Compact size and easy set-up. Fun to use... only negative is wall adapters are too deep by the time you ad a lamp plug, etc. to put behind furniture.

Echo dot aka Alexa is the best. Everyone in my house just loves her. She's very helpful with the everyday questions that use to require us to open up a search engine on our phone or tablet. I really love how easy it is to "teach" her new things. I love the dot version better than the original because it's easier to transport. Especially since I love to keep her in my room at night so that she can play bird, thunder or rain sounds.

I never realized that with a Prime account and an Amazon Echo you can listen to free books every month. So I purchased one for my desk at work so I can listen to books during the day. Not to mention get reminders and set timers. If you are looking for great sound get the full sized Amazon echo. If you are going to plug in headphones or just use it to get reminders where sound quality is not critical the Echo Dot is perfect.

Added this to my Echo family and use it out in the garage when I happen to be working out there.

This is the 6th Echo Dot I've purchased in the past 6 weeks. Don't get my wrong, I haven't had to return any, I've just enjoyed the conveniences so much I've added more to my home and gave out a few as Christmas gifts. Be warned, Amazon has not yet perfected voice commands, it does get frustrating having to repeat basic commands. Fortunately this doesn't happen all the time. Also if your overly worried about privacy, this may not be for you. The Echo Dot listens for its "wake" word and it does record to the cloud your commands. I'm cautiously monitoring this on the Alexa app and it does concern me a little.

I'm a bit of a tech geek so this is fun for me. Easy and good quality. Enjoying new commands daily.
