Set up was amazingly easy. I bought it to listen to audible books, but haven't yet signed up for the service , but I ask Alexa questions all the time. She tells me the weather, what time it is, and just now how many cups are in a half pint. I live alone so she has now become the person I communicate with when I don't want to call my sister.

Function but no form
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The dot works just like the echo (sort of). Speaker is not as good (knew that ahead of time). Thought that because I was paying monthly fee for unlimited music it would work on the dot device as well (not true--funny how it was more than twice as much for the second device--huh?!?). Here's the designer in me coming out--why would they give you a choice of black or white for your dot (I chose white) and then you open the box and it has a black cord?!? It looks stupid having a different color cord. They tried to emulate Apple products on the packaging but they cheaped out on the details.
