The dot is a great addition to the Echo

So I placed a few dots around the upstairs rooms to benefit from home automation control. So I can turn on the heater and turn off the lights in the house from the convenience of bed. It works even nicer if paired with a Bluetooth speaker for better audio fidelity.

Alexa For All

I use it all the time to control my smart home. My wife, on the other hand, seems to always use it only to get the weather for the next day to determine what our kids should wear. Either way, this little device is one small step to building a smart home.
