I have five Echos and the Dot and use the Dot for my radio listening in bathroom. Yeah, why not? It's ok for music, but it really does its best for radio listening. Works like the big guys, just not for music. Still, it's better than a weak AM signal.

I like the idea I can just ask what the weather is or music to listen to when I’m cooking or cleaning the house. I have two and I got my parents one my mom loves it.

Love this thing. When I use it with my smart lights my smart home is so fun to use. "Alexa turn on living room" and my lights come on is awesome. I use it with WEMO.

This is my go to present for the holidays. Everyone that received one was very excited and could not wait to try it out. I have an Alexa at home and use it everyday!

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas. She loves, loves it. I didn’t really know all the things it could do but all the reviews were excellent. It was the gift everyone was shopping for. She immediately set it up to give her the daily weather and news. It has an alarm. She is finding more features everyday. Would definitely buy again. My grandson has even asked for one for his next birthday.

This is the second Amazon Echo that I have purchased. I pre-purchased the original Amazon Echo several months before Amazon started delivery to the public. The best purchase I ever made. I purchased this Echo Dot for my upstairs office. I listen to music, get weather and traffic reports, get new briefings and turn on and off my TV all controlled by my voice. I just love this device. My next Echo is going in the kitchen.

The Echo Dot is great, so long as you have other smart devices in your home. I would suggest also getting another smart device for your home that is compatible with the Dot -- otherwise all you can really do is have Alexa tell you the time or read you a bedtime story. I programmed my Dot to control the lighting in my home and it works perfectly! Whenever I tell her to turn on/off the lights she responds immediately.

I love this product. I'm currently using it to control the lights in my house and to play music. If you're thinking about buying one, just do it you won't regret it!

Bought one as gift then went back and bought one for me. Echo Dot is fantastic. I am hooked! Easy for a non tech person to set up. Alexa and I are learning together.

I originally purchased the Bose 5 sound bar. I didn't like the sound so I brought it back and bought the Samsung 3.1 plus the wireless speakers. Love, love the sound

I have this device at my desk so I can listen to music when I am working early in the morning when no one else is around. I love the voice command ability. That way I am not locked into any one class of songs. I can jump around with ease to different genres that fit my mood, and that helps me stay on task with work. Great for the small office where desk space is at a premium.

I love these little Echo Dots. I have them all over the place, both at home and at work. I also use them to control my smart home devices. They make great gifts, too!

At first I was hesitant for some security reasons, but since we already have August which is very convenient I tried echo dot too. And I’m glad alexa works with our door lights & speakers.She is also fun & informative just download some more skills to make her even smarter.I downloaded pinoy interpreter for my husband he loves it. It translates English words or sentences to Tagalog(Filipino Language)

We Love Alexa and how it controls everything. We have two smart plugs and fire tv and it works great. Sometime it is hard of hearing but does what we need it to do.

Does so many things. Plays music, answers questions, alarms, weather, news flash. I love it.

Why are you reading this. its 30 bucks. just buy it and try it! Why get the more expensive one when you can connect this to your blue tooth speaker of your choice!

The Echo Dot has been a great addition to complement my bigger Amazon Echo. I placed it in my kitchen and often use it for cooking reminders. Definitely recommend it.

I was in two minds about buying the Echo or the dot - the only difference is that the dot has a small speaker and the echo has a large built in one. Its more cost effective to buy the small dot and then pair it with existing bluetooth speakers if you like. The dot plays sounds perfectly on it's built in speaker and for many applications thats perfect considering it has the same functionality for over $100 difference.

One was just not enough, bought two more to use elsewhere in the house. Works great to gets kids attention in other rooms of the house, instead of yelling for them

I really love these little things! I have 2 at the time of this posting. One in the living room and the other in the bedroom. I suggest connecting by Bluetooth to an outside speaker source. Once they learn you music account, you can have it play anything you have on that account. I just received my "smart" switches and plugs today. If it works as good with them as it does my music, I will be extremely happy.
