If you watch the promo ad for this its sounds like you can do anything and everything, but here's the catch you have to buy all the accessories for it, such as the wireless thermostat, the wifi enabled lights. and others. You might think that I don't like this product but in reality, I do. I own 2 and use one in my classroom to help my students with answering random facts. This is a great buy for those who want a neat toy in their house but this is nothing more than a toy.

Not so Great if Not a Prime Member
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The echo dot is good for some simple things like telliing a joke, weather, time, setting an alarm ect...but it is really built and suited more for Amazon Prime users. If you are not a prime user then you can not order things by voice from amazon..however the echo dot can place items in your cart for you only if you are not a prime member. The echo dot can play a limited amount of songs but with prime you have a much wider variety and selection of songs and music.
