Decided to go with the dot and couldn't be hairier. The only thing I wish I would have known is that subscriptions are needed to most of the applications

The dot is awesome, so easy to connect to a Bluetooth speaker, i have one in every room!

The echo is great. Extremely useful. Very easy to install. Up and running in no time.

Alexa was very easy to setup. Use caution where you put her because my Alexa picks up on the Alexa commercials and responds right along with the TV.

The voice recognition works quick and is easily pairable with other smart home devices.

I use this to voice control my smart home from my bedside. I wouldn’t recommend this for playing music but as a control it’s great.

This is a neat little to, I say toy because of the limitations that this product can do. If you watch the promo ad for this its sounds like you can do anything and everything, but here's the catch you have to buy all the accessories for it, such as the wireless thermostat, the wifi enabled lights. and others. You might think that I don't like this product but in reality, I do. I own 2 and use one in my classroom to help my students with answering random facts. This is a great buy for those who want a neat toy in their house but this is nothing more than a toy.

Speaker could be louder, but able to link with other speakers. Very compatible product

The amazon echo dot is a great device. Easy to setup and use. Great gift idea as well.

Does just about everything I would like it to do! So far it's been very easy to use!

We love the Amazon Echo. We have 3 of them already! Plan on getting more for each room.

The echo dot is good for some simple things like telliing a joke, weather, time, setting an alarm ect...but it is really built and suited more for Amazon Prime users. If you are not a prime user then you can not order things by voice from amazon..however the echo dot can place items in your cart for you only if you are not a prime member. The echo dot can play a limited amount of songs but with prime you have a much wider variety and selection of songs and music.

Echo Dot is a fun device. There are a times "Alexa" can't answer a question. She surprises us with what she could answer. But she's fun to have around!

For the price, the echo dot is a really good add-on to the echo. I wouldn't recommend buying this echo dot on its own but in conjunction with the echo.
