Speaker is great but I do believe I will be adding a bluetooth speaker for better sound.

“Alexa” play some blues. Great new feature is that you can now play the same music to different Alexa devices at the same time. We have 4 devices (Kitchen, Den, Living Room and Back Patio) and had a dinner party and it was great having music play on all devices at the same time. We used blue tooth speakers and it was great. It’s like having your whole house wired for speakers without the cost.

Got this as a Christmas and was great for a present that wasn’t too bad on price

Love the Echo, threw a dot in my bathroom for morning news and music. Works fantastic!

for 50 bucks, you cant beat this toy. sometiomes she obeys and sometimres she ignoes me.

Love the Echo dot. It's small and it's great for helping kids with homework.

My Echo Dot is nice to have when I want to check on news or weather. Works good with my Bluetooth speaker also. The Sylvania skill for lighting will not work though because the app on my phone will not find the bulbs. I think it is the connection between the gateway and the app. Use Smart Things and works fine. Needs to have more compatibility with lights. Hard to find a brand that works well. There is also not a skill for the Smart Things Multi Purpose senor. Also no skill for headphones. Needs work on more skills, but works well. This is why I only gave 4 stars.

This is very helpful to have around the house to play music and ask question. It has a lot more features I haven't figured out yet, but I really like it.

Got this for my son. He talks to Alexa everyday. He’s 8 And loves talking to it.

My 15 yr old loves it. She had it up and running in just a few minutes. If it could only figure out how to help her clean her room, it would be perfect.

Overall, this device is amazing. I would only have my Android (ok, Google) to compare it to as I never had a Google smart home device. Alexa is very responsive (she even has an option to whisper her response if you whisper to her). Little things like that is what catches my attention. I plan on investing into other smart home devices (once I can afford them :( ). Until then, I'm perfectly ok with Alexa placing phone calls, sending text messages, and setting a wake alarm without having to even reaching for my phone.

The Dot is a great product. Easy to use and fun way to get the morning weather. Listening to music is best through a separate speaker but is ok without.
