I love my echo dot! I can connect my phone and play music, or Alexa can play sounds to help me fall asleep. She also helps me with my homework.

I enjoy using the echo dot but the functionality is limited without a number of smart home accessories and paid subscriptions to services like Spotify and Pandora. I was also disappointed to learn that it could not be used to control my fire tv sticks or box. Overall I enjoy being able to ask Alexa to play music or find out something but it can be confused or not provide a complete answer for questions like how long would it take me to drive to Detroit.

The Amazon Echo Dot was a great way to get introduced to Alexa! And the price made it possible to buy several for Christmas gifts. This was an entirely new experience for me and I now want the Echo itself and a couple more Dots for my house. Even those who already had an Echo were thrilled get the Dots for their bedrooms! The design is very attractive, I particularly like the lights!
