Love my Dot!

The Dot is much more useful than I originally thought. The speaker is okay...not for listening to music..but fine for basic spoken word. This is a good and inexpensive way to broaden your home automation. However, these Amazon Echo products do not yet "sync" with each other - eg to play music. However, the Google Home devices do sync with music.

Amazon dot is great for starting a smart home

They work great, and can be plugged into better speakers with a 3.5mm audio cord. I have them and amazon echos around the house and alexa can be pretty stupid but she is improving little by little. I use siri on my iPhone and she's great when I'm out but alexa does the heavy lifting around the house.

Exactly as advertised.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The main selling point of this device is you can use any of your exsisting bluetooth speakers to play your amazon playlist at a mild roar,or you can use the 3.5mm jack on the back to connect to your home theater and really give your ear drums a beating. (At your own risk of course). I have both the amazon tap and the echo. Unfortunately these devices have their flaws when it comes to audio reproduction.hence the bluetooth and the 3.5mm jack connectivity on this device will allow for the pickiest of listeners to appreciate their music thru exsisting devices.
