My son who is 14 loves this voice controlled device. He uses it as an alarm clock and to play his favorite music. It works like a charm.

I can't think of having to turn on my devices like the pilgrims had to do anymore. Alexa does it all. I've gained 50 pounds by no longer having to move but I can adjust my heat, turn the tv on and off as well as my lights. If I didn't live in the country Alexa would have ordered a pizza for me already. I love pizza and I love this thing. Have 6 of them all over the house now.

The setup was easy and works really well with my voice commands!

The Amazon Echo Dot is a great tool on a budget. I already have an Echo in the kitchen and we have only scratched the surface of it's functionality: weather, music, shopping lists, prime shopping. Now with the Dot, I can eliminate the need for an alarm clock, radio, CD player on my bedside table. The speaker is adequate; not great, but adequate. Glad I bought them with a coupon, as I would have been aggravated now that Amazon dropped the price after Thanksgiving. Even if I had paid the original price, it would have been worth it.

I’ve really been enjoying my new toy. This was a great invention.

Between Google Mini and Echo Dot, I felt that Echo Dot is more user friendly. Interaction with Dot made me feel like it is part of the household. I really liked the intercom feature from room to room communication. However, I felt that Google Mini was better with initial setup. Also, Google Mini pretty much replaces Google web browsing as Google pretty much controls the web search while Amazon didn't have any such service (yet). Over all, for my home automation needs though, I liked Echo Dot much better...

This technology item is incredible and growing all the time. It's like having a roommate that keeps my calendar and my shopping list. Now when I go to the store I don't need to bring my paper list. My phone has the list. When I need to cheer up, it tells me a joke. It tells me the weather forecast, plays my Pandora, keeps my timer, and sets an alarm clock. I love this "toy".

I love this speaker, just wish it could be louder sometimes.
