||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: I enjoy using it daily to - check the weather - use my smart home devices (especially turning things on & off with ease) - play music - set reminders - and so much more! It's a pretty sweet product to have in my place~ CONS: Alexa is pretty similar to Siri in the way that the things I say are misheard quite often and I feel like I can't talk normally when I ask for something. The audio from the echo dot itself is too quiet, but it works well when I connect it to my Bluetooth speaker.

Fun, practical, and educational

Also bought one for the daughter's family as an educational resource for the grandkids. We have some different brands of Wi-Fi enabled items in the house and it was pretty easy to find the right skills to support them all. Highly recommended.

It's ok

Speaker sound is acceptable, but we're not picky. Honestly, I don't find much of a use for it. Wish Amazon would make the dot to run off batteries for portability. We didn't know it required to be plugged in. We'll wait to purchase an upgrade once Amazon releases a wireless one.
