||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our first smart product. My daughter uses it to play music. Speaker sound is acceptable, but we're not picky. Honestly, I don't find much of a use for it. Wish Amazon would make the dot to run off batteries for portability. We didn't know it required to be plugged in. We'll wait to purchase an upgrade once Amazon releases a wireless one.

Easy to use, sound quality and clarity is good and was extremely easy to set up the blue tooth to my home stereo. Echo delivers quick responses to anything asked. I really like that I can ask for a specific genre of music, weather reports, recipes etc and am satisfied with the responses provided.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was deciding between the Echo and the Dot and considering that I wasn't really interested in playing music through the Echo,I grabbed the Dot and never looked back. Now if you are an audiophile,then look elsewhere. Even though the music plays loud enough for me without external speakers,you really need external speakers to get any sort of good audio. Then again,if you are interested in good audio,why are you buying a Dot to begin with. Setup is quick and easy and it blends well into my entertainment center.
