I have the larger Echo but the smaller version is great for the kitchen. I use it as a timer, grocery list and various general questions.

The echo dot does a lil bit of everything from timers and phone calls to activate lights connected to it and inform you about local news.

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas its very easy to set up. Once setup its really easy to use it's also fun. I bought it so he could play his music through the speaker instead of just playing it through his phone like he always does. Think I have more fun with it than he does just asking it crazy questions. I would definitely recommend it.

The dot is awesome and fun to travel with. Anywhere I go it'll let me know what's around for food, fun, and what's going on in any town.

It’s good for a novelty to play with. I mainly bougot it to control my Dish Hopper, but ended up not really using it for that, just sticking to the remote. It more of something to ask questions and mess around with.

We purchased this one as Christmas gift. Ours was bought back in September 2018 and love to ask Alexa question about facts, has it connected to iHeart Radio app or the weather. And as well have voice connected light surge protector linked to Echo dot and truly love this feature for lamps, patio decorations lights and Christmas tree.

It's a great thing to just tell her to play music but doesn't always get things correct or even understands. Which get annoying. I'd buy if your just wanting a easy way to play music. Other then that not worth it.

I use this all the time what’s the weather good by to be today, set an alarm, start a todo list, message someone and so many other uses.

I had my doubts at first but I went ahead and bought one. This thing is amazing and for the price you cannot complain! Lots of features to play with, especially the ability to control light bulbs and after messing around with IFFT I can even control my tv set. Alexa is very responding and the ability to pair the dot with my existing Bluetooth speakers sealed the deal.

This this is a second spot in the house to communicate with Alexa. We enjoy asking her questions and playing music that we like to hear.

i love my note 8, so i have fun messing with the dot , testing them out, see what all they can do its almost like my note without the screen .. and they have lil battles alexa vs bixby lol pretty fun to mess around

Been using it everyday since i got it. Checking everything from weather to news. I also connected it to my led light strip to control it.

I've been using this to turn my Philips Hue Lights on and off I also purchased a smart plug and it was able to connect them both to the Amazon Echo with no problems. it's awesome walking into a room and voice activating the lights ,turning on music ,and having my coffee pot turn on by simply speaking the command, it took my house to the next level. I have always enjoyed Syfy movies ,and now I can feel it at home with all my smart devices only wish that you could name Echo whichever name you wish instead of the three set names

I just joined the Amazon Alexa fan club. I did not know all the functionality and capability of this little device. Very, very awesome!

Bought this along with a sound bar for my bedroom and have been incredibly happy with it. With all the skills available it helps me go to sleep, to wake up, get a jump start on my day, keeps me entertained, reminds me of appointments, and so much more. I never realized how great Alexa was until I bought one and now I'm planning on buying another for my office.

The dot we are able to be mobile with around the house, both indoors and out. We hookup to external speakers for better sound. Love it.

Grandson (age 12) loves this gadget. He is very tech and likes being able to ask Alexa to perform simple tasks such as play music, etc.

We have Echo dots in every room of the house. Love the ability to play music, get news and weather updates, and control our smart home.

I love my Amazon Echo Dots with Alexa. Yes I said Dots, I bought multiple. Lol They are so functional and convenient for an awesome cost. They’re good for playing music with awesome sound, doing anything with Amazon, tracking Santa, telling jokes, you name it, Alexa can do it. I use them primarily for controlling my Smart Lights.

So small but so powerful. I have it connected to my Bluetooth speaker to listen to Prime music. So far it has been an excellent experience. Only twice we had an issue where Alexa couldn't understand. Music plays all day, almost every day. Answering questions, giving weather reports, etc are a plus. Not a necessity to have, but certainly an enjoyable thing to have.
