New... but improved?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared to the original Echo and 1st gen, it's just okay... missing the ability to adjust the volume from turning the physical top of the device. I love the white to go with my kitchen. This particular unit seems to have more difficulty hearing the subtlety in different words than it's predecessors. Overall, the price point for the smart home voice-control is fair, but not "amazing".

Excellent for the home

It's nice to be able to turn on and off lights with just your voice. Playing music on them is also a nice feature and can have them all synced up to play at the same time.

The favorite gift

We are an Apple house so I was reluctant, but I’m happy I got it. It’s been so fun playing with Alexa. She’s so helpful as well. I have it paired with the Phillips hue lights as well. I’ve had four friends buy them together after seeing my set up. Best $30 spent!
