Wasn’t sure he would like it. The dot doesn’t follow instructions very well. Even simple instructions like ‘Alexa, stop!’ We have to tell her multiple times. Maybe we got a defective unit. Thinking about returning it. On the other hand, the Echo works like a champ! Love it!

Great voice recognition

Though not always able to provide an answer depending on what you ask. It is possible for the Echo Dot to learn more skills, which can expand what you ask it. The microphones can pick up your voice using a normal speaking volume and can work from a good distance away.
