I got 5 of the echo dots so I could work on getting whole house music and it has worked like a charm. You can sync all of the dots up to play the same song or have them play their own individually, but when you have a party or family and friends over you can have music playing all throughout the house.

Great way 2 play Pandora 4 the kids And still use my phone. Good fun asking Alexa for jokes, etc.

I purchased the amazon echo dot along with the sengled smart lighting system for my parents. Not only is it convenient for them but the amazon echo app is set up in a way that even they understand how to use it. Also, my kids love calling their grandparents using the drop in feature on the echos.

Nice little device. Have only used it for general search and information. Speaker has good sound quality.

My husband always wanted me to play him a song from the computer, or look up a trivia question. When I saw this little wonder I had to buy it for him. Now he can "Ask Alexa" to play him a song or look up and answer to a question. This device is awesome. Even our one year old grandson knows who Alexa is!

Works great, and great to have several throughout the house. The announce feature is great to call the kids so you don't have to hunt them down. Also works great when several are connected to stream music throughout the house.

The whole family has enjoyed the dot. We love streaming music, and my kids can't get enough of his jokes.

Great for having extra echos but the speaker is not so great. Price is excellent for what it is.

Besides being difficult to set up, as I’m not tech savvy, once I figured it out it worked great.

I bought this to use with my Bose SoundLink mini II and it works perfectly. It does everything the Amazon Echo does, but it's a lot smaller. I've had the Amazon Echo and returned it because the speaker quality was not nearly as good as the Bose SoundLink mini II. the only problem with the Echo Dot is it doesn't hear your voice as well as the Amazon Echo. This problem is documented in my reviews on Amazon.com. But overall, I still like the product.

Love it! Opened it on Christmas Day and my 12 year old son activated it and had playing Christmas Tunes playing in about 10 minutes. The one feature I love that was unexpected is the Timer feature. Tell Alexa how long to set the Timer for as you are putting something in the oven and you're done. No more burned food.

Great technology! Would go with the larger unit as the speakers are weak but the functionality is great.

This amazon echo syncs easily and plays my music from any of my devices at request. Sounds great.

Request a song, ask her to play an album, ask her questions (don't expect answers for every single one!), Alexa, play BBC news, She is spot on! The interesting part is, I was surprised when she played my request for Celtic songs! One star less - unable to connect it to my Bose Micro - that may not be Alexa's fault! overall use is also constrained by my imagination! My major future wish is to have a short conversation with her!

This item is not quite there yet. When you add items to your shopping list it's just to the Alexa app list which is different from your Amazon shopping list. It only plays some music. Amazon added a new music subscription on top of the prime music -that costs extra so that you need it to listen to any song you want with the dot. Alexa could set a wake up alarm but it couldn't play the alarm sound for me. I wanted to know how loud it would be. It's hard to tell if she even turns up the volume when you ask. She can't add stuff to my cart, nor can she tell me what's in my cart on Amazon. She couldn't tell me about my orders when I asked and she couldn't access my phone calendar or to do list. It didn't seem like anything was really working as advertised except the music. And again even that was very limited.

Easily paired with my soundbar and has all the functionality of the full size echo with better sound
