This amazing little piece of hardware has been a blessing. The short time that I've had it has been great. I love the fact that it has good sound recognition and is able to pick up commands from across the room, even with noise disturbances. It is a powerful little device that seems to have endless possibilities.

Alexa is great. The Echo Dot is sufficient for its purpose. Playing music through the speaker is sufficient for a kitchen, but not likely good enough for a get-together. It is great for home automation. When paired with our Smartthings Hub, voice commands for light, garage doors, end of day home locking, etc.

This is the third one I bought. This was a gift for someone. You can do infinite amount of things with this. I hooked it up with my home amplifier and it works through my house. All I have to say is Alexa play music or what’s the weather. It’s also connected with some of the smart Home stuff I have.

In conjunction with my Harmony remote and hub, this product allows my family to say 'Alexa, turn on the TV' and that alone is worth it. In addition, I can link it up to Amazon's services and have it play music or provide personalized news among other things. I would like to see Apple Music and SiriusXM added...

Works well for music and weather, news as well. Connects with my Bluetooth speaker.

We have set these up throughout our home to use as cheap and effective intercom system. Now we use them for that as well as other fun and functional tasks from playing Jeopardy to findig the weather. It is very useful in the kitchen as a time as well. It can keep multiple timers at the same time.

It does the job but it could be better and louder. Otherwise it works fine.

I was dead set against my wife purchasing this product. I mean I still use a Flip Phone. I've been in IT for 47 years and just don't get excited about these so called AI products. But since having 'Alexa' @ My beck & call especially for music (I'm also a musician) I just don't know how I managed without her!

Big disappointment thus far. Alexa, weather - no problem. Alexa, local business in zip code - say what? It is of no use to me to get answers to simple questions like the phone number or address of a local business. It can't answer most simple questions. It will play your music okay, and use Tune-In quite well, but that's the only value I've found in it so far.

Makes life a little simpler.. to bad that you have to buy other items to do what they show in tv ads...

I love our echo systems. We have 2 already and this was a third to add to our room. The whole system is great and allows for you to automate your home. I was super afraid to jump into home automation especially since I was concerned that I might like it and have to spend way too much money. I was right!

I like this product knowing I can look things up quickly without having to grab my phone and do it

Really enjoyed how versatile this little gem is. The music is just right for my upstairs office where I don't need a lot of volume while I read or work on the computer. I did lose connection after Hurricane Harvey hit due to a loss of wi fi for three weeks, but it is back up and performing like a champ.

Original design. Nothing fancy, but a great alexa device for the money. Easy to hookup.

Echo is a fun and useful gadget. Just wish it could answer more types of questions without having to add skills and then remember how to ask it the question depending on what skill you need to use. Would be better if you did not have to name the skill as part of the question as you have to do for many of them.
