The Amazon Echo Dot is a great IoT device that all of the family will enjoy. Sometimes it seems that we only use it for playing music and checking the weather. After reading further there are more things you can do with it but just haven't made it to that level yet. Hopefully we will advance to a higher level.

Nice to be able to turn off lights and adjust the thermostat while I’m sitting on my lazy duff!

Alexa makes it easy to find information in a hurry, to check the time, weather and even your calendar.

Alexa still needs improvements, but from what I read Amazon is currently working on commands every day

If Alexa could announce smarthome events, it would be cool. Not as smart as google search.

I have Alexa in my living room, I purchased the dot for my grandsons room. He loves it, the limited volume is a plus for him (no blaring music like we have downstairs). I was so impressed I got one for my bedside table, I can lull off to music, an audio book, set an alarm ... and small enough not to clutter

I have an echo which has a wonderful speaker so i wasnt expecting much out of the little dots. I must say my expectation didnt match reality. The speaker on the dot is quite nice and for small spaces i have no problem listening to music on them. I have bought many of these for my friends and they all love them.

Great price, connect to your bluetooth speaker and you're set. Cheaper than having to buy an echo.

I own the Echo & Echo Dot. I purchased several Dots for Christmas gifts. All I can say is what's not to like? Using Alexa for shopping list, things to do, weather, news to listen to white sounds, have books read for me, whew! I could go on & on, but I think you get the message! This is an awesome product!!!!

This is great when I walk in the house when it is dark. Alexa turn on lights and wa la, they turn on.

We are having fun with our Eco, it is awesome to ask questions or make requests and get them answer right away. We play music at night and ask Alexa to turn it off at certain time and she is really good following requests. We just started playing with it, so I can not wait to discover more things.

As an older person, I don’t see the value of having another device that is on WiFi. I can use my smart phone instead of asking Alexa!

Good buy at this price point. Decent stand alone option, but better as add-on to Echo for other rooms.

We've enjoyed having the Dot around to turn off/on lights, recite the morning headlines, weather reports and managing our shopping lists. But as much as anything we just use it for amusement, jokes, Simon Says or just to see what she's capable of. At this point, it's mostly a gimmick bit the potential is there.

I have these in almost every room in the house. I wish the Apple HomePod was this affordable.

So far it works great...providing me with the information I request and a whole lot cheaper than Alexa

I use this mainly for listening to music. Very cool. The larger one sounds better but this one is cool

I had extensively reviewed, and researched, before I bought; so, I knew what I was getting. There's lots of room for Alexa to become more "fluently conversational", and this sometimes leaves you choosing your requests very carefully, to avoid the "I don't understand" response. Echo has integrated wonderfully with my Iris Smart Home switches, plugs, thermostat, etc. I have one of these at home, and one of these in my Semi Truck.

This little monster works pretty good you just ask it questions or tell it what u want

Great Product! It takes time to learn how to speak to Alexa, but once you understand all is well.
