I like it but I do not use it for everything. It does not support what I want it to do with my Sonos system but have been told it will soon enough. I really use Apple stuff more so this was just a add on for a few things. Sound quality on this is not great, it sounds like cell phone speakers at best. However if your buying it for the speaker Im not sure I would wast the money, buy the large one as it sounds much better.

Great little speaker to listen to music. It’s not super loud but it does the job.

Love this little device. I have setup all my electronics to run from this device.

Amazon Echo Dot is a unique speaker to use. It connects to my tablet for increased sound.

Works pretty good, doesn't know everything but it's fun to use. Speaker is fine for my needs.

I bought my mother an Echo dot for her Birthday. I think she really liked it,she says she does. It takes some getting used to but we caught on. I recommend this to most everyone because it saves a lot of time. You can get the news,music ask it questions that you would normally have to look up.

This is the first echo purchase i have made. I have several nice speakers so I wasn't actually interested in purchasing the Echo, but the echo dot was perfect for me. It does have a built in speaker that would probably be fine for communicating with Alexa, but not for listening to music.

We put this Echo Dot in the garage to stream music for my dogs when we're not home during the day. As a speaker, the sound quality is not great. I'm sure the dogs don't care about the sound quality LOL. We also use it to communicate when one of us is working in the garage, just like when we used to have intercoms back in the day. I am buying the 3rd generation Dot now that they are on sale.

Works just like the Echo just smaller. Great for the bedroom as it doesn't take up a lot of room.

Very easy to use and set up. I am not sure I prefer this to the Google products.

Got this for my 14 year old son. "Alexa" plays music and answers questions. We have Amazon Prime so that is why it plays music. There are a lot of things Alexa doesn't understand and that is a little frustrating. The dot must be plugged in.There is a light bulb you can buy for about $50 that will turn on and off by voice control. Overall, for the $40 that we paid for it (great price), it is really fun and serves its purpose.

This product is wonderful and a great price. Just as good as the newer models.

Mainly got the echo dot to control home automation, and get random news / sports information. So far it hasn't disappointed and has worked with all the skills that I'd like it to work with. The reason I'd give it 4 stars right now is the skills are sometimes finicky and require some finesse to get them working correctly, but all in all I think its a good product that is still in development and always adding new features.

Great for bedrooms but prefer the bigger one for the main living room and kitchen areas

The Echo Dot is a great little appliance type item. It is so nice to ask it a question such as what the weather is today or the rest of week. You can even ask what the weather is in other parts of the world. You can have it play songs, set alarm to wake you up, and just most anything

Great for amazon prime or Pandora music. Alexa gets confused some times but don't we all.

This was first smart speaker, added two more 3rd gen. Echos. Tried Google Home. Despite being an Android/Google supporter, I could not back Home. Maybe cause it's so different/used to Alexa, or the Echo is superior. Regardless, no qualms with the Echo dot.

Except for the tinny speaker, this pretty much meets my expectations. I have 3 echos scattered around my house and when used together, they don't ever interfere with each other. If you don't like the speaker, you can always plug the echo dot into a better fidelity speaker via 1/8th inch jacks (or bluetooth too).

We picked this up for my mother in law because she has used ours at our house and said that she would like to have one. So we got her one and she loves it. She loves listening to music and the bible on it. We also get her some wifi lights to put in her house to go with it.

You can't get it better than to be able to ask for something and get it with out any lip
