This is a great item for the price. Really what's not to like? I've bought 3 for family already.

Because of the size, you cannot expect great sound. The big upside is the "brains" behind it - the little device has Alexa and that is a great product, from getting news to integration with music services. We fixed the sound issue by connecting the device via bluetooth to our Samsung speaker.

The Amazon Echo Dot is part voice assistant, part home automation hub, and entirely fun to use.

I thought I’d have more for Alexa to do but the novelty of it run down quick. It’s fun but after a few days I forgot I had it.

Got this "free" with another item. We've been having fun with it . Our six year old only subscribed to one program that costs money, but they notified us via email so we could cancel. We aren't very tech savvy and the setup was painless. Our daughter uses it to check the weather, ask it jokes, and tell stories. It is a little weird that it is always "listening" The novelty may wear off after another month.

Purchased this for my father in law and he loves it, perfect for him! And such a great gift!

Fun to use and easy to set up. Still learning everything it can do, but that's part of the fun!

I ask echo dot to play music it said there is no music in music library. I had to get amazon prime to play music. I also wanted to make separate music list but it wouldn.t allow it. I think the sells person should have told me this I might not have bought it. But it sounds really good and it has all the answers to all of your questions.

We have Echo Dots throughout the house so we can instruct Alexa to turn on lights, or the TV, even lock the front door if we forgot. Alexa can even start the car in the morning to get things warmed up for you. If you are into home automation this is a worthy purchase.

Bought this as a xmas gift for my mother. She enjoys it. Uses it for recipes and other information. It also fun to use just to ask it random stuff when you are bored. Sometime it'll start talking even if you didn't address it. That can be creepy. She has said once it started talking in the middle of the night while she was upstairs. That can be a little scary. But overall good purchase.

I bought 5 of these Alexa Dots! One for me and one for each grandchild. It comes in handy when you want to listen to music. You can ask about the weather forecast or just about anything! If Alexa doesn't know the answer, she'll tell you she doesn't! I set timers while cooking too! It's awesome!

I received an Amazon Echo for Christmas and loved the versatility of having voice-controlled smart home technology. Once I got it set up, I immediately wanted to expand to other floors of my house so I bought the Echo for my man cave. I anticipate I will be getting at least one more in the future.

It needs google search but I love turning on my lights on with this and play music! Worth it!

The Echo Dot was bought for my husband as a gift and came highly recommended by my daughter...she knew her Dad would like it and he does! He finds lots of questions to ask "Alexa" and is always amazed by the answers he gets. It has been a great source of fun and information for our family!

The purchase price is reasonabless and good way to start before purchasing more detailed units
