Wonderful item easy to understand and work. Everyone in house gets good use out of it.

I would rate this 5 stars if the speaker system was much better. I knew it when I bought it so I was ready to review appropriately and even considered rating it 5 stars instead. However, I have noticed that unlike the ECHO, the DOT is not as responsive with voice commands initially. But once the DOT answers its ok, until the next time you use the wake word and it does not respond for several commands.

The Echo Dot is great for listening to music. Can't wait to try out some of the smart lights.

This product is easy to use, easy to install. Once up and running it becomes your best friend

Cool concept, more responsive to saying her name than I thought it would be. The only issue is she does very minimal things, she can make lists and order things but nothing I would say that is EXTREMELY helpful by any means. The speakers on the dot are TERRIBLE in comparison to my Echo Show as well. If you are looking to listen to music through it I wouldn't get your hopes up, get a Show for that one.

We have the echo show too and the speaker is much louder. It is great for our bedroom.

finding that the speaker on the Dot is not all that....does not really go loud enough such to hear from across a 20x20 room

Many questions it doesn't know the answer, but I think is a good product and excellent price.

It wasn’t for us, everyone in our family would had of download the amazon app to talk with us. And did not do as i expected

Alexa reminds me ... take your medicine, meet friends at museum at 1:30pm, etc. ... a helpful memory aid! She also answers questions (performs simple research) and reads the news to me. I live alone, am getting older and I was a bit surprised at how much I enjoy this simply AI companion.

Alexa has been a great tool in the kitchen of our home as well as the lovand my room. There are amazing gratitude to being able to just say Alexa and follow what you want. Heck you can even play jeopardy, catch up with a book or just learn a new recipe. It’s all there hands free

I chose the white version, over the standard black. Couldn't be happier with my choice. I'm not well steeped into the Amazon Eco system. My intention was to primarily playback Pandora, via an audio cable, to my receiver. I can now play music into the night, As my receiver will go to sleep (when there is no sensed connection) after a set timeout; this works in tandem with the command: Alexa, turnoff after x minutes.

While it must work better by adding into its abilities with smart home equipment, on its own it's nice to have around to ask questions, set timers and use as an alarm clock. Along with all those functions you can also play music although the speaker is undersized. For the price it's a steal.

I love this! Super easy to set up and use and I've used the alarm feature and it's def. loud.

I purchase the echo on the recommendation of a co-worker and I must say that it was a very good purchase as it ties into a lot of things around our villa. I will say that the bass is not that great but it does play music just fine still. My kids love it as they can do activities with Alexa.

It’s an amazing device but it’s creepy how good the mic is. Also it really digs into what you say and starts feeding you ads in other phones and devices on your network I had searches from my phone pop up in my girlfriend google results because Alexa seems to read your searches

This smart speaker is easy to set up and use. I will buy another one very soon.

I got this product with the BOSE Speaker, it is the 1st voice controlled device, Works fine.
