The echo dot has been a great edition for my daughter's room. It gives her independence on getting up on her own without me being her wake up service. Since we also have an Echo in the house we had to change one of the names so that we didn't have both catching each other's commands.

It is good but can be a pain in the butt she doesnt listen very well and i wish you could call her what ever you wanted!

I like I cause I have the fire stick w Alexa and I enjoy having her do what I askk.

This product is very functional and fun at the same time. My family thoroughly enjoys it.

The dot is so user friendly. I would recommend this project to anyone. I bought one for my 85 year old parents and they love it too. It has honestly improved their quality of life. I know that sounds strange but it's true. They can request old songs and ask questions before they forget.

I have 2 now and want some more! I cannot wait to control my house through the echo. Love the new calling/messaging features! However, I most likely will not step foot into Best Buy again. The cashier did not not even speak to me until I was told the total! No "hi" no "thank you".

It’s a gen 2. Mine was a Best Buy freebie with another purchase. I only give it 4 stars because the audio is truly inferior to the gen 3 ( which I have ). I gave this to a friend who gave it to his 6 year old daughter. She loves it. Listens to music, reads books for her, and tells her jokes. It’s an outdated model. For the cheap price they cost now, it’s a child’s toy.

Changed my home life for the better, wife loves it. Great sound, easy Bluetooth link up.

Echo dot is good for someone who wants to ask Alexa questions, but no speakers. It can be connected to wireless speakers

I was hoping this would be more useful. It knows the weather, and can play a song list, so we get some good out of it, but most all other questions we ask Alexa she does not know the answer. Thus this is not very useful, but certainly entertaining to see what it will say.

I bought 2 of these items as gifts for my son in laws. They were very excited to get them.

i mainly use it for lights and music and standard info on whats going on in the world

Echo dot is a good addition to your Alexa set up. While the speaker isn't as high of quality as the full size Echo, it's good for casual listening or a space that doesn't get as much use. I have had to set-up this device a few times on my home network, somehow it loses touch with my wifi or the data gets weird. But set-up is straightforward so it's not a big deal once I take the time to do it.

Easy to set up and operate. Sometimes responds incorrectly but usually works fine.

there is a learning curve, but I am enjoying using the echo. I just order the phillips color hue bulbs and system. I think it will be amazing to set the mood for a great evening with the wife, and be fun to watch the grandkids response to the color changes and watch them talk to echo

Love this product. I was hesitant at first because of the always on and listening feature. However I have no worries and I am not disappointed with this item. The only issue is that you have to speak clearly in order to get the response you want. Besides that, I recommend buying this item.

Performance is good. No issues with clarity and for its size delivers good volume.

We have both the Echo and the Echo Dot. The Dot does not sound nearly as good or have all the features of the full sized Echo but nonetheless is a great purchase if you are just looking for a voice capable device to do simple tasks, such as play music or ask about the weather.

The echo dot plays music tells the weather i also use it as my alarm clock
