I love Alexa

But if you want to use it as a speaker for music, take a look at Sonos with built in Alexa’s. You get an Alexa and a great speaker. Wish I would have known about that before I filled my house with normal Alexa’s.

Christmas Gift to Friends

She and her family have already had tons of fun with it. I don't think they've yet experienced its full potential, but her husband and children are amused and delighted by their Q&A sessions with the Dot.

Works just like the echo

Be sure to have an external speaker set to work with the dot and you should be good to go. One small issue with locating the dot out of 'earshot' of our other echo, but that is purely a location situation.

Good Cheaper Option

I would still go with the original echo first, but this is a nice companion to go with it. I have one in my bedroom, one in my office, and the original echo in the family room/Kitchen.

Great Smart Speaker

I didn't have it connected to a bluetooth speaker so I wish it could've been a little bit louder. But I love that the microphones are way better than those on the Google Home, it picks up my voice even in a loud room.
