We have purchased 4 Amazon Echo devices. Think they are great so far, and so extremely convenient, the more use the more you & Echo learn!!! My wife has them scattered in several different rooms and have bought some as gifts for friends & family.

I like this item's ease of setup and use. we use often for almost every question.

I bought this around fathers day for myself and it is amazing! I also bought some smart plug ins and it was a great purchase. I love the music part and I already have speakers. After the great experience I bought one for my dad and one for my In Laws on fathers day.

Great and easy option to create a smart home. The echo dot is better as an intercom for the home rather than a music speaker. Other Amazon Alexa products have better speakers, but if you want connectivity in every room, you can't beat the price and easy setup.

I have one in my bedroom for reminders and listening to music.

Good but volume is very low. Maybe the third generation is better.

It was as advertised and was easily connected to my Ecobee3 and Smartthings stuff. My wife uses it all the time now, great in kitchen for background music (not best sound, but not expected to be), turning on lights, etc. Already have bought a 2nd one to expand coverage area.

My wife and I love our Echo Dot! The fun and convenience of having a personal assistant and thousands of songs at your beck and call is amazing! Our Echo Dot is just as helpful as Siri would recommend everyone have one. I would definitely buy again!

Gave this to my daughter as a gift. She loves it and mainly uses it to connect turn her room lights off and on. (through a smart plug). For the sale price of $35, you can't beat it. works as expected and I know there are many more functions that she isn't using.

It was easy to setup online. Everyone in the family loves to ask Alexa questions.

We gave my niece the echo as a Christmas present and she loves it.

We absolutely love our Alexa, especially my 4 year old son. He loves to ask her questions. We do not use it for shopping, so I cannot speak to that. My only issue is that I wish she had more of a personality or snappy comebacks. She is pretty dry. Maybe downloadable personalities in the future? There has also been many questions that she has not been able to answer. Basic ones:/

The echo dot is fun and neat but I will have to admit it struggles with smart home integration and communicating easily with smart thermostats (ecobee3 for us). The internal microphones are pretty sensitive and can pick up your voice from across the room usually. It's fun but outside of telling you the weather and spending more money through Amazon, the echo loses steam quickly in our house.

A pretty awesome device that makes our smart home much smarter. Using it to control our Nest and Smart Lights is awesome. Mixing that with all the usual perks of a smart device, and you've got a great gift for any tech lover. Actually bought this for a friend's birthday.

Fairly cheap and with 3.5mm audio port, you can connect any speaker to it.

Bought this product prior to Christmas for the visiting grand kids. The whole family found it fascinating and fun to use. As we learn more about it's capabilities I plan to buy the full size Echo. It has a little better sound range for playing music. We highly recommend it.
