She can't answer most common questions (she doesn't have access to Google) which makes her a glorified music player. Even then, she acts like I have a serious speech impediment. "Alexa, play Michael Jackson." Alexa- "Here's a channel you may like, Classical Hits." Huh?

same precautions as google home, go to the website and look at what its recording you can remove most things be sure to check in the history link under settings, i turn the mic off and use the remote to tell it what i want. it seemed to be picking up things i said at random times. the times when i didn't say her name, so if yer going to go for it pick up a remote to.

I purchased two of these for my son 14yr and daughter 12yr. They love asking it to play music and just ask her random questions. Nice that you can set it up to play other music services like Pandora and iHeart which can be free with commercials.

I was very cautious about purchasing this item. I'm glad I did. I think it has many more uses as technology gets better. I wish tech companies would realize they need to create products that interact well with each other as this is what consumers want.

Good value, not used much as thought would Ease use

I bought Echo Dots for a bunch of family members and two for me. Set it up to play through home intercom and it is so useful! I love saying "Alexa add ... to the shopping list" or "Alexa play the songs on Beatles album Rubber Soul". Now to set up my lights!

I received an Amazon Echo Dot for Christmas, so I decided to purchase one for my daughter...she loves it. Sometimes Alexa give us the answer you are looking for and sometimes what she says will surprise you...I like surprises. Overall, it is great to have someone around who will not talk back to you but will answer your questions regardless how silly the question.
